MJ Solorio is an MJU graduate who was well-versed in the world of Monster Jam prior to his first day of classes. Solorio worked his way up helping out an independent team, and then finally got his chance to debut behind the wheel of El Toro Loco in Duluth, GA in September 2023, where he picked up the Racing win in just his third event.

about - What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?
I love working on cars and monster trucks, I play baseball and love spending time with family. - Who are your role models?

Before any event, I like to listen to music to hype myself up while also trying to calm my nerves. - What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you?
When I was in middle school, I played the trombone for the school band. I also played boys volleyball for the same school. - What is your favorite memory on or off the racetrack?
My favorite memory on the track has got to be getting my first stoppie. Off the track, it would have to be moving into my first apartment. - What is your most prized possession?
My most prized possessions are my dog, Dutton, and my personal truck.

- What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
The best thing about being on the road with Monster Jam is getting to meet all the fans in all the different cities we go to. The worst thing about being on the road is being away from family and friends back home. - While on tour, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
I like to explore the city that we’re at that weekend. - How do you keep fit?
I do my best to eat healthy and use the hotel gym as much as possible. - What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
I cannot live without my earbuds for the flights, and of course, my phone. - What is your favorite city to travel to? Why?
My favorite city is Duluth, Georgia. It is where I made my Monster Jam driving debut. - What countries have you visited with Monster Jam?

- How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
I started off working with an independent team, where I learned the ins and outs of monster trucks. They gave me the opportunity to drive for a couple seasons. When the time was right, I auditioned for Monster Jam, and it all worked out. - What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
My favorite part about competing in Monster Jam is seeing the smiles my performance brings to all the fans’ faces, knowing that this is what I’ve wanted to do since I was little, and now I’m finally being able to live out that dream. - How would you describe your driving style?
I would say that my driving style is passive aggressive. I can tone it down when I need to, but I can also light it up when I get the chance to. - What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
Don’t give up. If you have a dream and are serious about reaching that dream, then there is nothing that can stand in your way. - What is your greatest memory as a Monster Jam driver?
