Devin Winfield first started getting involved with Monster Jam by helping out an independent team in 2021, but it was Team Throttle Monster that finally gave him the opportunity of a lifetime behind the wheel of his own Monster Jam truck in 2023. Winfield currently splits driving responsibilities alongside Jeff Souza in Velociraptor on Arena Championship Series West.

What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?
When I’m not driving down the road or working on Monster Jam trucks, I love to be outdoors with my fiancée and 2 dogs. If I’m not photographing and have free time, then I’m playing video games.
Who are your role models?
My dad and Coty Saucier was a big inspiration for my Monster Jam career
Do you have any pre-event rituals you run through?
I always like to take a walk around the truck while listening to some music. I also strap in early to make sure I can focus and get comfortable.
What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you?
I’m a huge fan of Marvel movies, more specifically Guardians of the Galaxy.
What is your favorite memory on or off the racetrack?
Definitely being able to race with my childhood friend, Alex. My other favorite is getting engaged to my fiancée.
What is your most prized possession?
Not so much a possession but I love my animals

What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
Being able to see a new or different place every weekend at a young age is one thing I love the most, but eating healthy on the road is hard.
While on tour, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
Exploring different landmarks or hanging out with other competitors
How do you keep fit?
Hotel gyms are a big plus, and definitely eating healthy
What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
All of my safety gear, and either my Roku or laptop to play games!
What is your favorite city to travel to? Why?
Anywhere in California is beautiful to me. I have yet to compete in Las Vegas and would love to in the future.
What countries have you visited with Monster Jam?
Canada is the only other country I have been to.

How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
I started out with a different team back in 2021, learned how to work on trucks and drive and ended up parting way later down the road. I met Team Throttle Monster in 2023 and ended up getting the opportunity of a lifetime getting to start competing in Monster Jam.
What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
The atmosphere at Monster Jam events is like no other and is indistinguishable. It is a dream come true.
How would you describe your driving style?
Definitely a racer at heart and calculated, always thinking of something new to try
What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
If you have a dream, dream BIG. That’s what I did. Work for it and don’t ever give up.
What is your greatest memory as a Monster Jam driver?
My very first event – seeing my name come up on the ribbon boards and the arena’s screen. I had tears in my eyes, and it was a realization that I had truly made it.

Coty Saucier, Tom Meents, Dennis Anderson and Tyler Menninga
