Star-Studded Lineup Set for JCB Last Chance Qualifier

Authored by Scott Jordan on June 4, 2026

When we announced the lineup for the JCB Last Chance Qualifier during the World Finals Selection Show, my initial reaction was that it blended the perfect combination of Monster Jam ‘s proven veterans and up-and-coming rising stars. The 12 superstars who will compete in this bracket-style racing tournament are all vying to be the 28th competitor in the main field at Monster Jam World Finals XXV, which is the prize that will go to the winner of the LCQ, resulting in an opportunity to compete for a JCB Racing and a BKT Freestyle World Finals Championship.

The veteran drivers include Jon Zimmer Sr. who will pilot Megalodon as he looks for one more run in the biggest event of the year. Zimmer Sr. has proven he still has what it takes to get a win on any given night.

Brandan Tulachka returns to the LCQ, this time piloting Zombie, as he looks to avenge last year’s first round exit. Tulachka has continued to add to his win total with each season and poses a series threat to give “Zombie Nation” a second main field competitor.

Joe Foley also returns to the LCQ, bringing El Toro Loco to World Finals. Foley improved on the racetrack in 2026 and a solid run in Salt Lake City could give fans an opportunity to see “Freestyle Foley” compete for the BKT Freestyle World Finals Championship.

Triton Robbins had a phenomenal rookie season in 2025, earning Rookie of the Year honors and driving Krazy Train to the semi-final round in last year’s LCQ. Another year behind the wheel on a highly competitive series could be all Robbins needs to earn the victory and head into the field of 28.

Mike Christensen will have home field advantage at Rice-Eccles Stadium when the Ogden, UT, native brings Vendetta to the starting line. Christensen has long wanted to compete for a World Finals Championship and winning the LCQ in front of his hometown fans would be a feel-good story in Monster Jam and after a strong season, Christensen could finally find himself with the opportunity he’s dreamt of.

MJ Solorio made his World Finals debut last year in the Last Chance Qualifier and then went on to compete in the Utah Sports Commission 2-Wheel Skills Challenge where he would finish on the podium. This year Solorio is back and will pilot El Toro Loco. After a banner season for the California native, Solorio has gone from underdog to one of the favorites to get through the LCQ bracket and compete for a world championship once again.

Six drivers are making their LCQ debuts on July 2nd including Chelsea VanCleve who will represent the International Series and bring Sparkle Smash with her. Could VanCleve give the “Sparkle Smashers” a third unicorn in the main field? Every driver who has competed with her overseas would say a resounding yes!

Charlie Pauken III made the most of his rookie season behind the wheel of Classroom Crusher. Now the second-generation driver has a chance to compete at World Finals for the first time. A win would send CP3 into the weekend with a chance to do what his father did back in 2010, become a World Finals Champion.

Tim Hall Jr. made a lot of noise this season on Arena Championship Series West and now will have the opportunity to make a lot of noise in Salt Lake City. Can Jurassic Attack return to the main field? With “The Cadillac Kid” at the wheel the chances are high for a “Prehistoric Run for the Ages” at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Montana Robbins will join his brother Triton in the JCB Last Chance Qualifier. Montana debuted a new body style for Plane Krazy that, not only became a popular staple at the pit party, but also led to a lot of wins on the track. Robbins will now look to fly the plane through the LCQ and land safely into the JCB Racing and BKT Freestyle championships.

Mikayla Tulachka saw her popularity soar in 2026 as the Megalodon driver endeared herself to thousands of Monster Jam fans with her approachability off the track and ferocity on it. With a legion of Megalodon fans cheering her on, the shark could devour all its pray in the LCQ and leave Mikayla standing tall in Salt Lake City.

The final debut belongs to Alex Bardin who battled back from injury last season to return to top form behind the wheel of Earth Shaker. Sports fans and Monster Jam fans alike love a “Cinderella Story” and what a story it would be for Bardin’s long journey back to conclude as champion of the JCB Last Chance Qualifier.

You can watch the JCB Last Chance Qualifier on Thursday July 2nd at 8:10 p.m. ET wherever you stream Monster Jam!
