Team Monster Energy Gains Ground in the West

Authored by Monster Jam on November 11, 2022

Team Monster Energy® had a balanced performance in Spokane, Washington to gain ground on series leader Grave Digger® in the West Tour for the 2016 Monster Jam® featuring the AMSOIL Series. The Monster Energy point tally was comprised of a win in Freestyle and three wins in the Racing competitions. Grave Digger took two of the remaining Freestyle contests with Team Scooby-DooTM winning the remaining competition. It was the first Freestyle win for Bailey Shea in Scooby-Doo this season. Grave Digger leads that category with 10 wins.

Only five of the athletes were able to score major points in the competition, which led to very little movement in the point standings. On team that did see movement was Team Max-DTM slipping back from 1st to 2nd, getting most of the points from the ATV competition. Team Blue Thunder® was a winner in multiple ATV main events allowing him to keep a firm hold on fourth place.

The teams leave their second competition in the state of Washington and head south to Portland, Oregon. The Moda Center represents the last chance for some of the teams in need of points to get more on the scoreboard or face elimination. The West Tour championship carries an automatic bid to Monster Jam World Finals® XVII March 17-19.
