Joey Mileti is a Monster Jam Superfan who has always had dreams of becoming a Monster Jam Tech Official. However, his physical conditions have, in the past, limited his chances of making this a reality.
That all changed Friday at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, when Joey was appointed the newest Monster Jam Tech Official and received the full Honorary Staff for the Day experience.
To begin the day, Joey assisted in the inspection of Grave Digger, helping Safety Tech Official Keith Vogt cycle through the radio test and sign off on the inspection sheet. Once Grave Digger passed inspection, Joey fired him up and pointed him in the direction of the loading dock for practice.
Joey was then introduced to the entire Monster Jam team, where he was presented with an official shirt and his own locker with name tag. He then sat through the events notes session, before heading up to help call practice from the booth.
Following practice, Joey selected two Monster Jam trucks he wanted to see race and called them to the line for an additional pass, and also hit the ‘Going Green’ button on the remote.
At the end of the day, the Monster Jam ride truck appeared on track for a special ride for Joey and his parents Joe and Gaby. Overall, it was a memorable day and an unforgettable experience for Joey and his family.
