Max-D and El Toro Loco Both Moving Up in the Championship Series

Authored by Monster Jam on November 11, 2022

St. Louis marks the half-way point of the Monster Jam® FOX Sports 1 Championship Series with a wild night at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis! Max-DSM and Neil Elliott made a statement in racing, inching closer to an invite to the Monster Jam World FinalsSM XVI in Las Vegas.

Monster Energy and Damon Bradshaw moved into 2nd place in the series with the night’s fastest qualifying time. ZombieSM and Bari Musawwir grabbed a point, putting in the fastest time for the Monster Jam Obstacle Course. For the third time in the series, the final round of Monster Jam Racing saw Max-D going head to head with Lucas Oil Crusader®. This time around it was Max-D taking the win, picking up 2 additional points for the Monster Jam FOX Sports 1 Championship Series.

The Monster Jam freestyle competition was intense, it had been a rough night for El Toro Loco® and Chuck Werner, but he could not be beat in the freestyle competition. He brought huge air, a great combination of moves, and ended it all with a back flip. It was enough to give him a score of 40, and 2 points in the series for winning the Monster Jam Freestyle competition.

“It was a rough night for the bull, but I wasn’t going to leave without a trophy,” said Werner. “Next week in Anaheim, I plan to continue winning and getting that invite to the Monster Jam World Finals!”

On the line for the 16 Monster Jam trucks at the end of the 9-city Monster Jam FOX Sports 1 Championship Series are four automatic bids to Monster Jam World Finals XVI at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium on March 26-28, and the first ever series championship.
