Dominating Performance Has Changed the Dynamic

Authored by Monster Jam on November 11, 2022

A dominating performance by Adam Anderson in Grave Digger® has changed the whole dynamic for the competitors in the Monster Jam® FS1 Championship Series. By scoring the maximum number of points on the strength of fast qualifier honors and the “double down” wins in Racing and Freestyle, Anderson has eliminated 13 of the 16 drivers from the possibility of a championship.

Only Grave Digger®  (Anderson), Monster Energy®(Damon Bradshaw) and Max-DTM (Tom Meents) have a chance at the title, but the hopes are fading for Meents and Bradshaw. If Anderson gains a single point in St. Louis, Meents is out. Gaining three points in St. Louis would eliminate Bradshaw as well. Even if Anderson does not score a point, both Meents and Bradshaw need to add to their tally or they will be eliminated.

With his Racing wins at the Anaheim event last weekend, Anderson has an astounding 14-1 racing record this season, including victories in his last 12 races. His Freestyle score of 44 was the highest in his career and gave him his seventh career stadium “double down”.

El Toro Loco® and Becky McDonough wowed the crowd during Freestyle, earning Becky’s career high score of 36. The run included her first successful backflip.

The tour moves to the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri, for round seven. Action from the Anaheim event can be viewed on Sunday, Feb. 21. The complete TV schedule can be found here
