Weekend Recap: Temporary Tie as Points Gaps Narrow

Authored by Monster Jam on February 24, 2025

Across 17 events last weekend, 10 different Monster Jam drivers claimed an Overall Event Championship win, while several points leaders saw their leads dwindle.

Stadium Championship Series East – Detroit

Following Saturday night’s event at the Ford Field, Stadium Championship Series East saw a tie at the top of the point standings between Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) and Bari Musawwir (Zombie), with the latter winning the Overall Event Championship. Tyler went on to win again Sunday, but Bari remains just 5 points behind. Camden Murphy (Classroom Crusher) broke through for his first JCB Racing win of 2025, while Mike Christensen (Vendetta) and Jim Koehler (Avenger) impressed with incredible Freestyle runs.

Stadium Championship Series West – Minneapolis

Much like Tyler Menninga in Detroit, Tristan England (JCB DIGatron) also saw his points lead dwindle during Saturday’s event. Also, much like Menninga, England was able to rebound on Sunday with the Overall Event Championship. Bryce Kenny (Monster Mutt) won the Overall on Saturday, while Ryan Anderson (Son uva-Digger) used consistency to go from 22 points to just 14 points back of England. Six separate drivers won the six competitions throughout the weekend: Ryan Anderson and Cole Vernard (Black Pearl) won JCB Racing; Zack Garner (Wild Side) and Tristan England won Skills, and Mike Pagliarulo (Excaliber) and Bryce Kenny won Freestyle.

Arena Championship Series East – Allentown

Blake Granger (Monster Mutt Dalmatian) did not give up any of his points lead, and in fact was able to pad it after taking two of the five Overall Event Championships and 8 of the 20 competition wins. MJ Solorio (El Toro Loco) also had a solid weekend with five competition wins and two Overall Event Championships, while Brandan Tulachka (Just Get-Er-Done II) took his first Overall Event Championship Saturday night on his birthday. MJ’s success was enough to move him up to second in the points.

Arena Championship Series Central – Little Rock

Matt Cody (Grave Digger) won the Overall on Saturday in a two-event weekend in Little Rock, but things fell apart for the points leader on Sunday. It started with a first-round elimination in JCB Racing, while Jon Zimmer Sr. went on to take his first racing win of the year in Zombie. Zimmer backed this up with his first Donut win of the year. Meanwhile, Jon Zimmer Jr. narrowed the points lead from 34 to 26 points, Jamie Sullivan swept both Freestyles of the weekend, and Fernando Martinez (El Toro Loco) won the Overall on Sunday. This series now has 15 events over the next three weekends, which could shake the points up a lot.

Ashley Sanford had a strong weekend, picking up two Freestyle wins and one Sky Wheelie win, while Tim Hall Jr. (Jurassic Attack) became just the second person this season not named Weston Anderson to take a skills challenge win.
