The Cadillac Kid Wins It All in Fargo

Authored by Scott Jordan on February 6, 2025

Cadillac is a small town that spans about nine miles in the northern nook of Michigan and is home to a little over 10,000 residents. If you go to the city’s Wikipedia page and scroll down to the “Notable People” section you will find a small selection of nondescript names including an actor, NFL player, and pro boxer. Before too long you may find another name on that list, and it would read: Tim Hall Jr. – Monster Jam Overall Event Champion.

Although Hall now resides in Ogden, UT, the home of Team Throttle Monster, you just can’t take the Cadillac out of this Michigan kid. That was on full display last weekend at the world famous Fargodome where, on Sunday afternoon, Tim Hall Jr won the Overall Event Championship.

Tim has made some appearances over the last two years in Monster Jam, filling in admirably in his limited opportunities, including an incredible weekend in San Jose last August where he won his first two event trophies. Hopefully his mantle has room for three.

Not to outshine Tim’s win, but did you see the old-school purple Jurassic Attack in Fargo? I sure did, and I have made no bones about being a huge fan of nostalgia, so I am making a plea right now that we haven’t seen the last of that version of Jurassic Attack. Now back to Tim.

Hall Jr. is in what technically is his rookie season as he competes in his first championship series. It’s rare to see a “rookie” driver who has the skill, seat time, and poise that Hall boasts, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds his name among the nominees when the Monster Jam Awards ceremony heads to Salt Lake City.

Team Throttle Monster always seems to reload their roster nicely. After Dalton Widner moved to stadiums and David “Too Tall” Olfert stepped away from driving, there were two massive seats to fill and what a coup Tim Hall Jr has been. Keep an eye out for Jurassic Attack on Arena Championship Series West which heads to Ball Arena in Denver this weekend.

And if you ever pass through ole Cadillac, let them know to update their Wikipedia page.
