Event Notes:

For the first time in 6 years, Monster Jam made its return to Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Tonight though, it would be one of our Monster Jam superstars who would be crowned event champion!

Racing started off red-hot with the two reigning World Finals champions going head to head in Round One. The last time they faced was Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. But this time, it would be Ryan Anderson and Son-uva Digger taking the win. This would end Adam Anderson’s 17 race win streak in Grave Digger, and there was no turning back for Son-uva Digger. And in the final race, Bryce Kenny was in the lead in Great Clips Mohawk Warrior going into the final turn. But he clipped a crushed car and that opened the door for Sonuva Digger to grab the first 14 points.

Then, in the Great Clips Two-Wheels Skills Challenge Grave Digger set the bar with the first run. Over Bored would take the lead 5 runs later. Saigon Shaker would sit at the top for a few moments. That was until the Professor of Monster Jam University, Tom Meents, would come out ROCK the house with a pair of poppers in Max-D. Tom has 5 2-Wheels Skills wins this year, chasing his 6th. But, right after him was Lee O’Donnell in VP Racing Fuels Mad Scientist, who has 7 this year. And he would fall just short of the win with another pair of flawless poppers.

Freestyle tonight was described by many fans as the best they have seen in a long time. The air was huge, the wow moments were spectacular, and the fans ate it up like a prize-winning Philly cheese steak! Grave Digger’s Adam Anderson burned it down and took the win. But, it was Max-D who had 1 more point than Son-uva Digger to take tonight’s overall event championship!

And next week, we are at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey! If you are craving MORE Monster Jam action, you WON’T want to miss…this…show!
