EVENT NOTES

The battle for the last Overall Event Championship in Hampton was on as the top three contenders tried to increase their points in the season standings. Grave Digger, Stinger Unleashed, and Scooby-Doo! each earned an Overall Event Championship at the Hampton Coliseum. All eyes were on the track to see which team would break the three way tie. However, bad news was nearly delivered as Brandon Derrow and Team Bad News Travels Fast made a huge statement from the very beginning. Brandon Derrow proved to his hometown fans that he was the fastest on the track by taking the Monster Jam Racing win. This was a special moment because this was Brandon’s first Racing win of the 2019 season. Going into Freestyle, Team Bad News Travels Fast tried to upset Team Grave Digger as they stood only one point behind them. But in true Grave Digger fashion, Randy Brown and Team Grave Digger were able to put down a spectacular Freestyle that granted them the final Overall Event Championship in Hampton.

EVENT NOTES

Saturday evening in Hampton could be described in two words: Grave Digger. The hometown favorite was the star of the event as he put down one of the best Freestyle performances of his career! Everyone was on the edge of their seats as we all watched that black and green wrecking machine cartwheel over the pod and land perfect on all four BKT tires. The coliseum erupted! Everyone was on their feet cheering for the hometown hero. It’s moments like Randy Brown’s Freestyle that reminds us exactly why we became Monster Jam fans in the first place. It is truly an unforgettable experience!

EVENT NOTES

It was a memorable Friday evening as this four day competition kicked off in Hampton. Randy Brown in Grave Digger reminded us that he would not give up the berth to World Finals XX without a fight, taking wins in the 2-Wheel Skills Challenge, the Donut Competition and Freestyle. However, the Overall Event Championship would go to someone who made history for herself during the first competition. Scooby-Doo!’s Linsey Read dazzled on the track as she took home her first America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses Monster Jam Racing win in her career! Adding on a win in ATV Racing and maintaining consistency throughout the competitions, it was no doubt that the night belonged to Linsey Read and Team Scooby-Doo!.
