The return of Monster Jam was well worth the wait for the thousands of Monster Jam fans who turned out this afternoon for the Party in the Pits and the LIVE action of the Monster Jam Trucks. Hartwall Arena has a history for Monster Jam that dates back to 2004 when Monster Jam first brought these 10,000 lb. machines to the awesome fans in Helsinki. After two years of waiting six of the best Monster Jam trucks competed for the coveted Monster Jam Trophies.

The Wheelie contest was first on today’s format and with some great sky wheelies by all Grave Digger took home the first win with a high score of 26. That score was 5 points higher than second place finisher Hulk and six points higher than Blue Thunder who took third place. One of the crowd favorites was Finland Native Vesa Kivimaki who wheelied his way to fourth place with a 19.

Next the fans were treated to some great racing action as Blue Thunder would square off against Hulk in the Monster Jam Championship race. The finals was so exciting that the fans were on their feet not knowing who was going to win. When the green light flashed both Monster Jam trucks left the line exactly at the same time giving the finish a photo opportunity. As the trucks crossed the finish line it was Blue Thunder who came out on top with his biggest Monster Jam racing win of his career. Dan Evans was so excited for the victory as he had done from the fast loser position. That's right Fast Looser! Evans was defeated in round one of racing by a photo finish by Monster Energy giving him the fast looser spot against Grave Digger in the semi-finals. Blue Thunder then defeated Grave Digger and you know the rest of the story.

Freestyle was awesome as each Monster Jam truck scored very well giving each other a run for their money. Hulk started things off with a high score of 19 that would stand strong until fan favorite Raging Bull scored a 20 to take the lead by one. The crowd was on a high for their beloved native but it wouldn't last long as Grave Digger would out score everyone a take the win with a score of 22. Here are all of today’s results.

Saturday 6:30pm

Wow! That is all that has to be said about tonight's Monster Jam. The night was electric from start to end with new winners in each of tonight's competitions. Jon Zimmer drove Hulk to a win in the wheelie contest and Grave Digger took home the Racing championship trophy by defeating Blue Thunder in the finals. Damon Bradshaw also took home a trophy with a classic freestyle that he is well known for being a past World Finals Champion.

High lights from tonight came in racing when Dan Evans and Blue Thunder lost in round one again by a photo finish and would come back as fast looser to win his semi final match against Monster Energy. But this time in the finals he would lose but only by inches to Charlie Pauken and the Black and Green Wrecking Machine Grave Digger. Freestyle was also great with some close scores between Hulk, Grave Digger and Monster Energy. Hulk took the lead away from Wolverine with a score of 22 but Monster Energy was next to go and took the lead with a 24. Grave Digger was last and seemed like he was ready to Double Down but he fell short with a score of 22. It goes to show with this caliber of competition that any one of them can win.

Sunday 2:00pm

The third and final Monster Jam took place today with a near sellout crowd on hand. The day started off with the Monster Jam wheelie competition as each Monster Jam Driver had the opportunity to make two hits on any of the obstacles to try and get the highest score. Raging Bull was first to go and he had two awesome sky wheelies giving him a score of 23. It wouldn't be until Monster Energy hit the floor and powered into two high sky wheelies to take the lead and the win with a high score of 26. Grave Digger finished third with a score of 21.

Dan Evans piloted Blue Thunder to his second Racing Championship for the weekend by defeating Grave Digger in the finals. Blue Thunder won today’s event with a first round win over Wolverine and a semi finals when over fast looser Hulk. Grave Digger made his way to the finals for a second time with wins over Hulk and Monster Energy.

In the freestyle competition Raging Bull a crowd favorite had an exciting ride as he hit the wheelie bump so hard that it threw his Monster Jam truck to one side and over he went onto its side as the crowd went wild. Raging Bulls score wasn't as high as the crowd would of liked because there was still 45 sec. left on the clock. Today’s winner was Monster Energy as Bradshaw continued his success here in Finland with a high score of 21. Grave Digger seem to have the win locked up with some high flying moves but the mechanical bug had bit and Digger was done with time still on the clock. The judges scored Grave Digger a 20 which tied him with Hulk. Here are today’s results.
