It has been two years since Monster Jam has invaded Helsinki Finland and the last time here it was just Monster Jam. This year we brought to the great fans Monster Jam Freestyle Mania. Freestyle Mania involves not only Monster Trucks but also a combination of Freestyle Motor cross, BMX, and Freestyle Street Bikes. This combination makes for and all out Freestyle experience that is truly amazing.

The day started off with the wheelie contest in which Grave Digger won with a score of 25. Charlie Pauken Started were he left off two years ago when he won four times here in Helsinki. Pauken didn't stop there as he won the Maniac challenge with a time of 18.51. The Maniac Challenge is a timed event were the Monster Trucks race on an obstacle course that requires less speed and big air to take the fastest time.

The final event was freestyle and again Grave Digger took the victory with a top score of 25. It wasn't as easy as it looks on paper for Grave Digger. Ironman and Traxxis E-Max gave Grave Digger a run for his money in The Maniac Challenge as did El Toro Loco and Monster Mutt in the Wheelie Contest. I am sure at one point this weekend one of the Monster Trucks will win at least one of the awesome events yet to come. Here are the rest of the results.

Saturday 6:00

Another sold out crowd was on hand for the second of three shows here in the Hartwall Arena. There was just one hour of prep time before tonight's show which not normal at any Monster Jam show. This time was an exception and the dirt crew and truck crews worked very hard to have the Arena ready in just one hour. It didn't take long for the arena to fill with screaming fans and the anticipation of the first competition to start.

The night started off with Grave Digger again taking another win in the Wheelie competition with a score of 27. From there Digger was also the fastest in the Maniac Challenge and defeated Ironman by only eight tenths of a second. Bari Musawwir in the El Toro Loco truck was third fastest with a time of 22.37 seconds. Lee Odonnell was chomping at the bit for a win as Grave Digger thus far was running away with another sweep of events. Iron was second to last to go in Freestyle and put up a strong number but when the Black and Green Wrecking Machine filled the 75 second time period he again had another win under his belt.

The big surprise of the night was the Finish driver of Raging Bull (Vega Kivimacki) who drove his Finland truck to second place spot in Freestyle that had one awesome save that even the best of Monster Jam would be proud. Even Though Grave Digger won all three events tonight the competition was very close and some one is bound to take a win in the last show tomorrow. Here are the scores of the competitions.

Sunday 2:00pm

Grave Digger did it! Charlie Pauken swept all nine events this weekend against a field of trucks that are World Finals Caliber. The arena was electric with another sold out crowd. Today's action started with the wheelie contest as Grave Digger won by only one point over an impressive Raging Bull. El Toro Loco came in a close third place with a score of 21.

The Maniac Challenge again was close as Iron man, Traxxas E-Max and Grave Digger made the three fastest runs to make it into the finals. Grave Digger who had the fastest time of the weekend won the event with a time of 17.33 seconds. Iron Man was second with his best time of the weekend and a time of 18.17 seconds. Traxxas had a time of 22.81 which was good for third place. At the end of the run for Traxxas, Evans took a bad bounce on the landing and broke an axle and was done for the day. This would leave only five trucks to battle for the freestyle trophy.

Freestyle was awesome and the fans were on their feet the entire time. Raging Bull had a great freestyle and took the early lead over Monster Mutt with a score of 23. That score wouldn't last long as El Toro freestyle his way to the lead bye one point hoping it would be enough to take the win away from Grave Digger but it wasn't. Grave Digger amazed the fans with high flying action and great saves took take the final win with a score of 28 as the fans were cheering for more. Here are the official results.
