Scott Jordan shares five takeaways that he saw from all of the action on July 4 weekend at Monster Jam World Finals XXV in Salt Lake City:<\/p>\n

  1. Tyler Menninga and Tristan England are REALLY Good<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 <\/em>This goes without saying but it was a true storybook ending for both Tyler and Tristan when they were crowned World Finals Champions in JCB Racing and BKT Freestyle, respectively. This is the title that Menninga had been chasing throughout his entire career, falling short year after year before finally reaching the top of the podium in Salt Lake City. For England, it was serendipitous that the move he named after his dad, \u201cThe Kahuna Flip\u201d, would be the finish he needed to capture the freestyle crown. These two drivers are at the top of their games and reaching their prime, so more World Finals wins may be on deck.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. The Last Chance Qualifier is Fun<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 <\/em>The JCB Last Chance Qualifier offers 12 drivers – a mix of veterans and rising stars – one final shot to earn a bid in the main field of competitors. It offered a lot of first-time racing matchups that came down to the wire. The JCB LCQ also gave us a preview of the unpredictable track conditions for Friday and Saturday\u2019s JCB Racing Championship. One of my favorite elements of the Sam Boyd Stadium Era was \u201cThe Showdown,\u201d and the JCB Last Chance Qualifier brings the fun and the nostalgia with it to Monster Jam World Finals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. The Rise of Krazy Train Is Here<\/em><\/strong> \u2013<\/em> Sticking with the LCQ, how about the run of Triton Robbins going from the fastest qualifier to the Bronze Medal?! Just a year ago, Robbins took home Monster Jam Rookie of the Year honors before being eliminated in one of two LCQ final round races. This year the story had a different ending for the second-generation driver. He played lane choice to his favor winning round after round before being earning his spot in the main field. The train kept rolling all the way to the podium. The rise of Triton Robbins continues and the Krazy Train is officially off the rails.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Rice-Eccles Stadium Has the Best View<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 <\/em>Even before bringing World Finals to Salt Lake City I adored going to Rice-Eccles Stadium for events. It offers a great location, unmatched hospitality, and a breath-taking view unlike any other stadium in the country. My view from the desk overlooked the beautiful track but it also gave me a Birdseye view of every awesome fan in the stadium, the drivers and technicians in crew seating, and an incredible view of the mountains in Utah. There was no better way to celebrate the 4th<\/sup> of July holiday then with the spectacular aesthetic of Salt Lake City.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. World Finals Continues to Get Bigger and Better Every Year<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 <\/em>I feel like I say this every year, but Monster Jam just continues to add on to the biggest event of the year in so many ways for our fans. From additions to the Pit Party, to an extended main field and 2- Wheel Skills Championship, to the design of the track, it just felt bigger this year. Partnerships with Blippi, Paw Patrol, and Jazwares had fans excited at the Pit Party. The extended main field of competitors delivered with more chaos, carnage, and action than ever before. Then there were the stunts, the fireworks, the Hall of Fame inductions and so much more. I am looking forward to our trip to Indianapolis next year for what will surely be an even bigger 26th edition of Monster Jam World Finals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
