Jon Zimmer Jr. (Terminal Velocity) took the points lead last weekend in Arena Championship Series Central, meaning that each of the five domestic series is now being led by a different truck.
Stadium Championship Series East – Indianapolis
After a tough event two weeks ago that saw him lose the points lead to Bari Musawwir in Zombie, Tyler Menninga clawed 14 of his 26-point deficit back over the course of two events last weekend at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. On Saturday, Menninga won Freestyle and the Overall, clawing back 4 of his points, then on Sunday he gained another 10 points with wins in JCB Racing and Skills, while Camden Murphy (Classroom Crusher) won the Freestyle and Overall. Cynthia Gauthier (Lucas Stabilizer) and Armando Castro (El Toro Loco) picked up the JCB Racing and Skills wins on Saturday.
Stadium Championship Series West – Oakland
It was a non-points weekend for 8 of the stars of Stadium Championship Series West, who put on three events for the fans at the Oakland Arena in California. Tristan England (JCB DIGagron), Zack Garner (Wild Side) and Adam Anderson (Grave Digger) each picked up Overall Event Championships and competition wins throughout the weekend. Todd LeDuc also picked up two competition wins in Freestyle.
Arena Championship Series Central – Toledo
This close championship fight that has been keeping everyone’s attention every weekend so far this season continues to leave us on the edge of our seats. Jon Zimmer Jr. (Terminal Velocity) won four of the five Overall Event Championships throughout the weekend, taking the points lead away from Matt Cody (Grave Digger), who one the other Overall. Zimmer Jr. almost swept all five JCB Racing competitions through the weekend, but was denied on Sunday evening by Jamie Sullivan (Sparkle Smash). Fernando Martinez (El Toro Loco) also didn’t go home empty handed, with two Skills Challenge wins and one in Freestyle.
Arena Championship Series West – Albuquerque
Weston Anderson is currently the standalone points leader in a Grave Digger Monster Jam truck. He won all four Overall Event Championships in Albuquerque, and 10 of the 12 competition wins. The only two he missed out on were in Freestyle Saturday afternoon – won by Brianna Mahon (Scooby-Doo) – and JCB Racing on Sunday – won by Devin Winfield (Velociraptor).
