Stadium Championship Series East – Birmingham
The title fight in Stadium Championship Series East has been renewed, as Tyler Menninga closes in to just 2 points of Bari Musawwir. However, it was Colt Stephens and Cynthia Gauthier who delivered us two of the greatest saves of the year.
Dalton Widner (Jurassic Attack) kicked things off by winning JCB Racing, then Menninga (Grave Digger) won the Skills challenge. With storms rolling in, the drivers were amped up and ready to give it their all in Freestyle, with Gauthier (Lucas Stabilizer) and Stephens (ThunderROARus) producing two fantastic saves, with the win going the way of Stephens. Menninga took home the Overall Event Championship.
Arena Championship Series East – Wilkes-Barre
Things kicked off at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza with Pennsylvania native Tony Ochs (ThunderROARus) falling just short of sweeping the event Friday, just losing out to points leader Blaker Granger (Monster Mutt Dalmatian) in Skills. Saturday afternoon, MJ Solorio (El Toro Loco) secured the Overall Event Championship with a win in Freestyle. Blake Granger then took home the Overall Saturday evening, and then backed it up Sunday by finishing second in each competition to win Overall again. Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger) also picked up a Freestyle win, and Brandan Tulachka (Just Get-Er-Done II) took home a JCB Racing win.
Arena Championship Series West – Florence
Six drivers headed to the Florence Center in South Carolina for three non-points events and nine opportunities to beat Weston Anderson (Grave Digger). They took two of them: Ashley Sanford (Megalodon) in JCB Racing on Saturday evening, and Devin Winfield (Velociraptor) in Skills on Sunday. Winfield also won the Overall Saturday evening. Everything else fell the way of the black-and-green wrecking machine
Arena Championship Series Central – Hartford
Jon Zimmer Jr. (Terminal Velocity) continues to pad his points lead, winning two out of the three Overall Event Championships in Hartford, but his competition is keeping him honest. Triton Robbins (Krazy Train) continues to perform strongly in JCB Racing, winning both races on Saturday. Meanwhile, Matt Cody (Grave Digger) won Freestyle both Saturday afternoon and Sunday, while Jamie Sullivan (Sparkle Smash) won the Overall Event Championship Saturday afternoon. However, it was Zimmer Jr. who swept the Skills Challenge, and also took a Racing and a Freestyle win to extend his points lead to 60 over Matt Cody.
