Tyler Menninga Wins BKT Freestyle World Championship

Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) won the BKT Tires Freestyle World Championship at SoFi Stadium on Saturday.

 

It is Menninga’s second World Finals Championship, having won in 2-Wheel Skills in 2023. It caps off a strong year for Menninga following his dominance at the 2023 Superstar Challenge followed by his 2024 Stadium Series East Championship.

 

The Freestyle course at the SoFi Stadium proved to be a tricky one, with many drivers failing to fill the 120 seconds during their runs. Subsequently, scores in the low 8’s held the lead for the majority of the event. It wasn’t until Menninga went as the 22nd of 24 trucks that a competitor finally broke into the 9’s.

 

However, Menninga knew he couldn’t celebrate yet, as the final driver to go was Ryan Anderson (Son-uva Digger) who laid down an impressive run but also fell a few seconds shy of filling the clock. Subsequently, his score was a 8.927, giving Menninga his first Freestyle World Championship.
