Five Burning Questions From the 2025 Monster Jam Schedule Announcement

Authored by Scott Jordan on September 13, 2024
  1. What will Camden Murphy and Bryce Kenny be driving?

When the 2025 Monster Jam schedule was officially dropped with the full lineup cards, two of the most popular drivers in the sport looked a bit different. Camden Murphy was no longer sporting a red fire suit and where did the purple highlights go on Bryce Kenny’s picture? Both drivers are wearing the generic Monster Jam fire suits with the initials “TBA” highlighted in bold yellow next to their picture. The online chatter has increased over the last few days with fan-made rumors heating up. Will they be driving new trucks? Will Monster Mutt and Pirate’s Curse return? What will happen to Bakugan Dragonoid and Mohawk Warrior? I expect we will get those answers in the coming weeks but in the meantime, I think Camden’s “Spidey Senses” are tingling.

  1. What can we expect from Dalton Widner, Zack Garner, and Armando Castro on a stadium series?

Fans always seem to love when great arena series drivers get the chance to move on to larger stadium tracks and show their skills and that is no different with Dalton, Zack, and Armando. Both stadium series are stacked and the infusion of these three superstars into an already promising lineup of stadium drivers should inject some fun full-throttle adrenaline. They are each coming off their best professional seasons. Armando turned his first career series championship into a second World Finals win and Dalton cleaned up last year winning the Rising Star Award and being named the 2024 Arena Racer of the Year enroute to an automatic bid to Monster Jam World Finals. Who can forget Wild Side’s incredible run through the bracket at SoFi Stadium and the raw emotion from Jamey Garner when his son Zack became a World Finals Champion?  However, can all their 2024 triumphs translate into a successful stadium season? We will find out the first weekend of January with stadium action from San Diego and Anaheim!

  1. Will an independent driver win Arena Championship Series Central?

The Central is going to be fun! Matt Cody gets a shot on a full domestic series for the first time, while Jamie Sullivan goes into year three piloting a second Sparkle Smash, and Fernando Martinez and Angelina Nock look to maintain momentum from fantastic rookie seasons but boy oh boy the anticipation of the independent teams on this series has the fan base counting down the days until Nashville. We get to officially welcome the Zimmer’s back to Monster Jam! After competing in (and winning) a handful of events throughout the summer, Jon and Jon Jr will once again compete for a series championship. Remember how close Terminal Velocity was two seasons ago? Fans are going “Krazy” (pun intended) for Triton and Montana Robbins who have impressed in limited action so far. Do Plane Krazy and Krazy Train have what it takes to roll through this series? Get your tickets to Bridgestone Arena to find out!

  1. Will Krysten Anderson vs. Tony Ochs – Round 2 be as good as Round 1?

Krysten Anderson and Tony Ochs are set to battle once again on Arena Championship Series East. Back in 2022 these two superstars gave us the most entertaining series championship battle in the entire sport which lasted until the final weekend of the season. Krysten earned her first career series championship that season, but Tony once again proved why he is a constant contender. Can we expect the same rivalry in 2025 when Grave Digger meets ThunderROARus? And will this be the year that Tony Ochs win’s his first series and punches his ticket to Salt Lake City? The answer to both of those questions may very well be yes when we get our first look on January 4th in Greenville, South Carolina.

  1. Who will challenge Weston Anderson in the West?

There has been no bigger certainty in Monster Jam over the last three seasons than Weston Anderson winning a series title. He did it twice in the East and then three-peated over in the Central, but the youngest Anderson has never had to conquer the West and formidable foes stand in his way. The only driver to win more freestyle competitions on the Central series in 2024 than Brianna Mahon was Anderson and if the “Princess of Carnage” can turn it up a notch she could once again challenge for the championship. Coty Saucier is one of the fastest drivers in Monster Jam and if there is a driver on this series that will challenge Weston on the race track it’s Coty. If he can stay consistent in the other competitions, he may very well end up on top. Ashley Sanford is primed for breakout third season. The former Monster Jam Co-Rookie of the Year showed flashes of brilliance and more consistency in her sophomore campaign and there is no question as she continues to get better, that she will stay in the conversation for a series win. Never count out Team Throttle Monster! They have a fearsome foursome in Winfield, Treviño, Urie, and Hall Jr and as a team could systemically take points away from Grave Digger with drivers who are capable to win on any given night. Needless to say, when this series kicks off in Salt Lake City, the road back there to World Finals may be harder this year for Weston than ever before.
