An Epic Battle is Brewing on Stadium Championship Series West

Authored by Scott Jordan on January 24, 2025

Through four points events thus far in the 2025 Monster Jam season, Stadium Championship Series West is shaping up to be a back-and-forth battle for the series championship trophy and the automatic bid to World Finals that comes with it. Just 22 points separates the top six competitors and, to put that into perspective, on the East series Tyler Menninga leads his next closest competitor by 26. Let’s break down how the West could be won right here:

Bryce Kenny doesn’t just look like a member of the “Dog Pound,” he looks like THE Dog on this series as he sits on top with 110 points. The Kernersville, NC, native has found a consistently aggressive gear earning freestyle and skills wins and ultimately an event championship. Could this be the year that Bryce finally wins that elusive series championship? The Dog Pound says yes!

Monster Mutt is not alone atop the leaderboard, as JCB Digatron joins the conversation with Tristan England as the co-series points leader. Two skills wins and a racing title propelled England to the top of the standings after an event championship performance in St. Louis. Does the three-time Arena Series Champion have what it takes to win his first stadium series? If the kid from Paris, TX, finds his groove in freestyle, then lookout for the JCB DIGatron team to dig its way to Salt Lake City!

Todd LeDuc is a two-time World Finals Champion and a three-time series winner but has not held gold since 2020. However, the Megalodon driver is off to his best start in years and, if LeDuc can maintain his early success and still find that patented late-season surge, we may see the Megalodon team win its first series championship. Although a series win is most certainly on his radar, LeDuc may have a third World Finals Championship in his sights if he can make his way back to the main field at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

That brings us to the defending Series Champion: Son-Uva Digger’s Ryan Anderson. If not for truck issues at The Dome, Anderson could still very well have the series points lead. That being said, nine points is not a huge deficit and, when crew chief Bryce Langlois gets the new Son-Uva Digger dialed in, look for Ryan Anderson to get back to dominating in JCB Racing as he looks for the sixth series title of his career.

Adam Anderson and Cole Venard are right there in the conversation, as is the reigning World Finals JCB Racing Champion Zack Garner, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see any of those three gain valuable points in Miami and move up in the standings. You can watch this incredible series live from loanDepot Park this weekend on YouTube! Who do you have winning the West?
