September 10

Brittany came to the world of Monster Jam after three years as a professional racer that saw her compete in the X Games in 2013. She also worked as a motorcycle stunt rider for Marvel Universe LIVE! The transition allowed her to use her skills and training to get behind the wheel of Zombie in 2020. In just her second weekend of competition, Brittany recorded her first timed racing victory and added a donut win just a month later. She was able to rejoin Monster Jam in 2021 and recorded her first event championship in Tacoma in 2021.

career highlights

  • 2021 Rookie of the Year

  • What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?
I grew up riding/racing motocross. I raced professionally for three years, including racing X Games in 2013. Aside from racing, I love fitness and Crossfit. It’s part of my daily training and has become a part of my lifestyle.
  • Who are your role models?
I have two role models that are pretty opposite of each other but share the same passions I do. The first is Debbie Evans. She was such a pioneer for women in motorsports and also in the stunt industry, which is an aspiration of mine to be a part of in the future. My second role model is Joan Jett. I am very passionate about music and of course she was a huge advocate for women in a male dominated industry, quite similar to the industry I have grown up in.
  • Do you have any pre-show rituals you run through?
I’m not a superstitious person, so I get amped up by playing some of my favorite songs and warming up physically.
  • What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you?
My passion for music; I play the drums and guitar. I always think that if I wasn’t an athlete, I’d be in a band.
  • What is your favorite memory on or off the race track?
My favorite memory thus far with Monster Jam would be during the workshop training, we had our ATV race and I was always challenged by Chase Cabre. He was really fast. We battled back and forth, and I actually beat him! By the end of the race, I looked over and saw everyone on their feet cheering. Even though it was only training, it was a proud moment to represent us girls!
  • What is your most prized possession?
It’s something I take with me everywhere I go: grandfather’s dog tag from when he worked on military aircraft. My grandpa was my biggest supporter, fan and friend. Even if he physically couldn’t get to watch me race, he would still go with me to the track and watch from the truck. He passed away in 2017, and it was tough. He gave me his dog tag to keep, so no matter what I do, or where I travel to, he can still be with me.

life on the road

  • What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
I toured with Marvel Universe LIVE! for five years doing motorcycle stunts in the show. Traveling and touring is not new to me so, from that experience, my least favorite part is being away from home for weeks at a time. It gets hard to be away from family and riding. My favorite part about it is the places we got to travel to and, of course, the friends I’ve made on the road.
  • While on the road, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
I find Crossfit gyms every week. It gets tough changing cities constantly, but the people I’ve met through this other passion of mine is so rewarding. I also love trying to find local concerts to go to.
  • How do you keep fit?
I got into Crossfit training about two years ago, and it’s the perfect fitness training for me. Crossfit is a combination of cardiovascular training and weightlifting. It’s tough keeping to a consistent training schedule on the road, so I have to keep motivated and also stay strict on my diet.
  • What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
If I could pack my dirt bike in my bag, I would! But I always travel with my jump rope. I can always come up with a quick workout at the hotel if I need to.
  • What is your favorite city to travel to? Why?
One of my favorite cities is San Diego. Maybe I am a little biased being a California native, but anytime we travel and perform on the west coast, it’s always so much fun…plus all my friends and family are there as well.
  • What countries have you visited with Monster Jam?
I have yet to travel internationally with Monster Jam, but I have been to 10 different countries while touring with Marvel Universe LIVE!

  • How did you get started competing with Monster Jam?
I was a performer on Marvel Universe LIVE! for five years. Once I finished touring, I was encouraged to audition for Monster Jam. I have an extreme sports background and I knew Monster Jam would be right up my alley.
  • What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
My favorite part is that I get to be myself. I get to compete as an athlete and let my athleticism show out on the track.
  • How would you describe your driving style?
I still have a lot to learn in the Monster Jam truck, but I think my aggressive motocross style will transfer into the way I drive. I like to drive like “one of the guys” because I know I can be just as good as they can.
  • What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
I give the same advice to everyone, whether it is motocross, fitness or now Monster Jam: it is so powerful what you can do if you truly believe you CAN do it. If you have a goal, set smaller goals to achieve the ultimate goal and believe you CAN.
  • What is your greatest memory as a Monster Jam driver?
During training at Monster Jam University, my favorite memory so far would be beating the boys racing ATVs. It’s a great feeling to straight up win a race against the boys, of course.
  • Who in Monster Jam do you look up to for inspiration?
Jon Zimmer. He helped me from the very beginning, and he really knew how to teach me in a way I can understand. I got to finally watch him compete at Monster Jam All-Star Challenge in Las Vegas and it was inspiring to see the years of experience he has in action in person. He’s a great teacher and a great guy off the track, too.
