Last weekend in Austin was a great kickoff for what is sure to be a rocking Monster Jam summer. Not only was it the first event in over three weeks, but it we also saw the unveil of the Northern Tool & Equipment “Tools for the Trades Monster Jam Mini-Build,” presented by the students at Bryan High School. For some of the drivers who competed it was also a warm-up to World Finals XXIV which will take place on 4th of July weekend in Salt Lake City, UT, and no driver made a bigger splash than Grave Digger’s Krysten Anderson.

A “Perfect Event” is when a driver sweeps the competitions, winning every time they strap in and drive their truck onto the track. It is not an easy task, and it happens maybe a handful of times per year, because the competition in Monster Jam is so strong. On Sunday afternoon, Krysten Anderson reminded everyone why she is still a force to be reckoned with, as she dominated in front of thousands of excited Monster Jam fans in Austin, which on that day was welcomed into “Grave Digger Country.”

The first female series champion in Monster Jam history dominated throughout the day, which is what she hopes to do on July 4th and 5th at Rice-Eccles Stadium when she brings the “Grandma” Grave Digger onto the track at biggest event of the year. Riding a wave of momentum into Salt Lake City would make Krysten an exciting underdog to watch out for in the JCB Racing and BKT Freestyle competitions.

“Grandma” has made appearances in previous World Finals encore’s celebrating the “Black and Green Wrecking Machine’s” milestone anniversaries, including the 35th anniversary which was driven by the one and only Krysten Anderson. Now, she will once again strap into the old icon, bringing it to competition for the first time.  Monster Jam World Finals always comes through with some magical moments and what a story it would be if Dennis Anderson’s only daughter cemented her place in Monster Jam history, winning a world championship in front of her dad, in the truck that started a legacy.
