Weekend Recap: All Monster Jam Championships Clinched as World Finals Draws Nearer

Authored by Monster Jam on April 30, 2024

All 2024 Monster Jam Series Champions have now been crowned as we close in on Monster Jam World Finals XXIII on May 18.

Stadium Championship Series East – Denver, CO

Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) has had an impressive season since the series started in San Antonio. He has won the Overall Event Championship in 16 of the 21 events, including last weekend’s event at the Empower Field at Mile High Stadium. He nearly pulled off the clean sweep in Denver, but was beat by Jamey Garner (El Toro Loco) in the Great Clips Skills Challenge. This result gave Menninga the Stadium Championship Series East Championship.

Stadium Championship Series West – Glendale, AZ

The Stadium Championship Series West Championship was won by Ryan Anderson (Son-uva Digger) weeks ago. But in recent weeks Adam Anderson (Grave Digger) has been dominant in arena events, and he carried that momentum with him into the State Farm Stadium on Saturday and won the Overall Event Championship, his first since El Paso. This was despite Adam not winning any of the competitions, which went the way of Camden Murphy (Bakugan Dragonoid) in Racing and Skills, and then Joe Foley (El Toro Loco) in Freestyle.

Arena Championship Series Central – Columbus, OH

Jamie Sullivan (Monster Mutt Dalmatian) and Weston Anderson (Grave Digger) split the four Overall Event Championships at the Schottenstein Center with two wins apiece, both achieving multiple competition wins throughout the weekend. Jamie Sullivan seemed to have the edge in Racing, while it was Fernando Martinez (El Toro Loco) who claimed three of the four Skills Challenge wins throughout the weekend. Frank Krmel (Zombie) and Brianna Mahon (Scooby-Doo) also picked up competition wins on Saturday night in the Donut and Freestyle competitions respectively.

Arena Championship Series East – Colorado Springs, CO

The most intense championship throughout the 2024 Monster Jam season has been between Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger) and Armando Castro (El Toro Loco) and it went all the way down to Sunday afternoon’s event at The Broadmoor World Arena. Zack Garner (Wild Side) took home two of the four Overall Event Championships while Angelina Nock (Megalodon) got a Sky Wheelie win, but otherwise the story of the weekend was the points battle. Armando scored higher than Krysten in Friday evening and Saturday afternoon’s events though, and by the time Saturday ended he all but had it wrapped up. Indeed, by making it into the Racing Final on Sunday while Krysten was eliminated in the semi-finals, the championship was secured. Armando dedicated his first Monster Jam series championship to his late sister.

Arena Championship Series West – Evansville, IN

It was a non-points weekend for the six drivers that headed to the Ford Center for three events, with Matt Cody (Grave Digger) and Dalton Widner (Jurassic Attack) splitting every competition win and the two Overall Event Championship wins between then throughout Saturday. Come Sunday, Matt Cody got tired of sharing, and pulled off his first ever career sweep.

International Series – Munich, Germany

Six drivers headed to the Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany last weekend for three events. Charlie Pauken (Grave Digger) took home two of three Overall Event Championships, whereas Blake Granger (Megalodon) took the other. Brandon Arthur took home a Racing win in Thor, Chelsea VanCleave got a Sky Wheelie win in El Toro Loco, and Myranda Cozad took home the Sunday Racing win in Thor. The International Series now heads to the Uber Arena in Berlin.
