If you have been keeping up with the Monster Jam International Series on our Monster Jam Channel, then you have witnessed some of the biggest stars in the sport putting on an absolute clinic for our fans overseas. Our international events never disappoint, featuring a mix of veteran drivers and rising stars who deliver a competition level you truly must see to believe.

That was on display last Saturday night in Sydney, Australia, when 10 Monster Jam superstars strapped into their larger-than-life Monster Jam trucks to compete in an epic battle for the BKT Overall Event Championship. The International Series lineup in Sydney featured young superstars Geneva Keller, Chelsea VanCleave, and Brandon Arthur as well as Monster Jam veterans Bari Musawwir, Tony Ochs, Cory Rummell, and Peter Nyman going up against former World Finals Champions Charlie Pauken, Ryan Anderson, and Mikey Vaters Jr. That is a must-see lineup on any given night. But, on this particular night, it was the 2010 Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle Champion who made his way back to the top of the pod.

Charlie Pauken continues to win at the highest level. While other athletes in motor sports call it a career and ride off into the sunset to enjoy retirement, the Maumee, Ohio, native chooses to climb into Grave Digger night after night and continue to put on a show. I was once asked on “Inside Monster Jam” to name a driver that is multi-generational and without hesitation I named Pauken. “Chuckie” has won in Monster Jam in three different decades, and his victories go all the way back to the Thunder Nationals years in this industry. Now, even in his role as a mentor to young drivers, he leads by not only teaching but also by winning. Charlie is the perfect driver for Grave Digger on the International Series for many reason, one being that he is a familiar name, but he is also still very entertaining and approachable off the track as well as successful on the track.

With his son “CP3” now a full-time driver, the Pauken name continues to write a legacy in Monster Jam that will forever be remembered no matter when you began watching these events. Whether you are 10, 30, or 50 you know the “Chuckie Dance” and you know that Charlie Pauken is a champion and one of the greatest drivers in Monster Jam history.
