Overkill Evolution and Mike Vaters II nailed a long forward popper and walked it across the floor to win his second straight Great Clips Skills Challenge. Jon Zimmer and Dragon utilized many moves including donuts, backflips and a solid save to win his 7th career Freestyle Championship. Event Recap:
San Antonio played host to the second stop on the Stadium Championship Series Red Tour with an electric crowd. With two drivers in the top 10 of the Monster Jam Power Rankings and 7 drivers who had won a competition or event championship at San Antonio alone, the driver athletes were ready to compete. Bryce Kenny and the Great Clips Mohawk Warrior made his first San Antonio visit a memorable one. He had the fastest time of the night to win his first ever stadium racing championship. Overkill Evolution finished in third place last week, but he would dial in a long forward popper walking it all over the track to capture his second career Great Clips Skills Challenge championship. Freestyle saw Todd LeDuc and Monster Energy hit many obstacles on the course for some of the biggest air we saw all night. Landing a solid Monster Energy Backflip, this would propel Monster Energy to the Freestyle championship. We are back at the Alamodome for one more event on Sunday!
