EVENT NOTES

The track was difficult to deal with, but our eight driver athletes were not to be deterred.  Once again proving why he is one of the fastest on the track, Brandon Derrow in Bad News Travels Fast took first place in Monster Jam Timed Racing just beating out Dragon. Then in the 2-Wheel Skills Challenge, Dragon came back by getting the highest score, and taking first place with Scooby-Doo! hot on his tail.  Going into the Donut competition it was Scooby-Doo!’s turn to be on top. She beat out the other Lindsey on this tour, Lindsey Rettew in Pretty Wicked who turned in a second-place score, and so it was team Scooby-Doo! to take those crucial eight points. This is where tonight’s story gets dicey. Many times throughout the night we had lead changes and ties. Team Stinger Unleashed was not taking any first place finishes, but was staying consistent with the points throughout the night.  At the end of the Monster Jam Freestyle competition, we had three driver-athletes all tied with 30 points! This means that the highest score in Freestyle would be the tiebreaker. After an amazing performance  with a forward popper and then putting it into reverse for the Moonwalk, our Overall Event Champion was team Stinger Unleashed thanks to his overall consistency!

EVENT NOTES

The last weekend of the Arena Championship Series was underway as Randy Brown drove that black-and-green wrecking machine across the finish line in the fastest time. Teams Stinger Unleashed and Scooby-Doo! were not going to let the champion off easy. Linsey Read had Manchester on her side as they scored her the highest in the 2-Wheel Skills Challenge and Donuts. Zane Rettew finished second in the 2-Wheel Skills Challenge and Freestyle as his teammate took home the win in ATV Obstacle Course. But closing out the event with wins in ATV Racing and Freestyle, it would be Grave Digger’s Randy Brown who once again stood on top of the pod as the Overall Event Champion.
