EVENT NOTES

Zombie and Grave Digger spent the weekend trading Overall Event Championship wins in the first two competitions. But it was Ami Houde of Zombie who would have the last laugh. In the first two events, only one point separated each competitor, but Ami saved her best effort for Saturday night where she had her most decisive win. Although Brandon was able to win Freestyle to close the night, it wasn’t nearly enough, as Zombie won the trophy handily by 5 total points.

EVENT NOTES

Saturday afternoon at the Resch Center was all about Grave DIgger. Brandon Vinson lead the “Black and Green Wrecking Machine” to a sweep of the Monster Jam truck events — with wins in Racing, Two-Wheel Skills, Donuts and Freestyle. That was all the momentum he needed to hoist his first Overall Event Championship in Green Bay. It should also be noted that last night’s Champion, Zombie’s Ami Houde, had a strong outing as well, finishing in second place in Donuts and Two-Wheel Skills, while totaling 29 points and finishing only one point behind Grave Digger for the trophy. So far, the two competitors have traded first place finishes and with one event left tonight, we’ll see if one of them can break the tie.

EVENT NOTES

Friday night in Green Bay ended in surprising fashion. All throughout the competition, it looked like it was Grave Digger and Brandon Vinson would be atop the pod at the end of the night holding the trophy. He opened a perfect three-for-three in the Monster Jam truck with wins in Racing, Two-Wheel Skills and Donuts. However, team Zombie’s Ami Houde was quietly waiting in the weeds all night long. After consistently stockpiling points, she finished with a Freestyle win and solidified the Overall Event Championship with a come-from-behind, upset victory.
