EVENT NOTES

After losing out to Solider Fortune during the afternoon event, Brandon Vinson and Grave Digger got back to his winning ways during the night cap. Although Solider Fortune’s Kayla Blood was able to win Freestyle for the third event in a row, Grave Digger loaded up on points in the 2-Wheel Skills Challenge and Donut competition — the former featuring an unbelievable run that led to an impressive score of 9.914. Just as he’s been all season long, Brandon remained steady and consistent enough to earn another Overall Event Championship — his second in Des Moines. It’s also worth noting that Raminator’s ATV rider Jordon Clemons put on a show by sweeping all ATV Racing and ATV Obstacle competitions for the entire weekend.

EVENT NOTES

After falling short on Friday night, Kayla Blood of Soldier Fortune was able to capture the Overall Event Championship on Saturday afternoon. She did so with an eerily similar event, as for the second time in a row, she closed strong winning both the Donut and Freestyle competitions. She was also aided by her ATV teammate, Samantha Larae, who earned a strong second place finish in ATV Racing. It all culminated in 36 overall points and Solider Fortune’s first trophy of the weekend.

EVENT NOTES

Friday night at the Wells Fargo Arena opened with the familiar sight of a Monster Energy Racing win, as Coty Saucier was able to get the best of his competitors through all three rounds. Up next, Brandon Vinson and Grave Digger took yet another 2-Wheel Skills Challenge victory, as he prepares to compete in that event at World Finals. The final two Monster Jam Truck events both belonged to Soldier Fortune as Kayla Blood won Donuts and Freestyle. Those wins were enough to propel her to second place for the Overall Event Championship, however, she fell just short of Brandon Vinson, as Grave Digger was able to stockpile enough points throughout to take the trophy tonight.
