EVENT NOTES

After winning last night’s Overall Event Championship in his hometown of Calgary, Northern Nightmare’s Cam McQueen managed to put on an even better show on Sunday afternoon. Cam McQueen and his ATV teammate Corey Knapp finished in first place in four of the six competitions; including Monster Jam Racing, ATV Racing, Donuts and Freestyle. Team Northern Nightmare came up just short of a show sweep, but still placed second in both Two-Wheel Skills and the ATV Obstacle Course. It was a dominating homecoming for Cam McQueen as he totaled 45 out of a possible 48 points and two Overall Event Championships.

EVENT NOTES

It was an exciting homecoming for Northern Nightmare and Calgary’s own Cam McQueen on Saturday night at the Stampede Grandstand. Cam started out the night with a second place finish in Monster Jam Racing and followed that up with a near victory in the Two-Wheel Skills Challenge, falling just short to Brandon Vinson and Grave Digger. Northern Nightmare opened the second half of the show with a very impressive cyclone for the Donut competition win. Cam McQueen rode that momentum and used the support of his hometown fans to earn a decisive Freestyle win to seal the Overall Event Championship. You could hear the pride and emotion in Cam McQueen’s voice during his Championship interview, as he thanked his family, friends and all the Canadian faithful in attendance.
