Recap
It was another exciting day in Atlanta for our second show at the Mercedes Benz Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Linsey Weenk in Lucas Oil Crusader earned a spot in the Monster Jam Racing finals for the first time all season, but was beat out by Todd Leduc in Monster Energy who took his first Monster Jam Racing win of 2019. In the 2 Wheel Skills Challenge, Cole Venard in Black Pearl had a huge run with a nose wheelie-moonwalk combo, but it was once again Monster Energy who took the competition win with two insane moonwalks. We finished out the evening with the Monster Jam Freestyle competition where Todd Leduc in Monster Energy laid down an impressive run that included a backflip off the 8 pack (and almost connected it to a wheelie). The athlete of the night was Monster Energy’s Todd LeDuc who had the first event sweep on Stadium Championship Series 3 with three competition wins that culminated in his third Overall Event Championship trophy this year. With such an outstanding performance today, Monster Energy was able to finally put some distance between himself and Dragon Ice for the Overall Season Points lead. Monster Energy currently sits on top with 333 points while Dragon Ice is 17 points behind him with 316 points.

Recap
It was a loud and energetic night of competition in Atlanta at the gorgeous Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Mike Vaters II in Overkill Evolution was able to prove himself as the fastest competitor of the night winning Monster Jam Racing at the top of the evening. El Toro Loco’s Becky McDonough scored her second Two Wheel Skills Challenge of the season and was awarded the Chick-Fil-A Move of the Night when she landed a challenging backflip off the 8-pack obstacle during Freestyle. While the fans went crazy for El Toro Loco, they scored Black Pearl and Cole Venard with the highest Freestyle performance of the night after an impressive front flip save on the track. This gives Black Pearl and Cole Venard a total of four Freestyle wins this season. In the end, it was fan-favorite Becky McDonough and El Toro Loco who brought home her first Overall Event Championship of 2019 with a total of 39 points.
