Monster Jam rolled into the Nutter Center in Dayton, OH, and the Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA, last weekend with new faces and new competitions on hand.

Spokane: Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) swept the four overall event championships in the Spokane Arena, but there were plenty of challengers. Early in the weekend, it was Dalton Widner (Jurassic Attack) giving him a run for his money, despite teaming up with him in Monster Jam’s new “Relay Race” during the Friday event. Devin Winfield (Velociraptor) also performed strongly in racing and finished just two points back of Menninga in the Sunday event for the overall. Rookie of the Year Ashley Sanford (Megalodon) was also on the winning team during one of the relay events, as was Fernando Martinez (El Toro Loco), who could be a serious contender for Rookie of the Year in the upcoming season. Dayton: Six of the eight Monster Jam athletes in Dayton took home competition wins, with Zack Garner (Wild Side) winning two of three overall event championships, and Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger) taking the other. Mark Hall (Raminator) broke through for a racing win Saturday evening, while Brandan Tulachka (Just Get-Er-Done II) had a strong showing Saturday afternoon, winning the skills challenge and donut competition, finishing just 1 point back of the overall. Colt Stephens (ThunderROARus) swept the two freestyle competitions on Saturday, while Deidra Ballard (Miss Over Bored) also took home her first career Monster Jam competition win during the donut competition on Sunday.
