Weekend Recap: Cold Temperatures, Hot Action in Week 11

The weather was cold but the action was hot as many of the Monster Jam series headed north for the weekend.
Stadium Red – Stadium Championship Series Red took a break this weekend, but many of the drivers competed in two non-points events at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. Tom Meents (Max-D), Nick Pagliarulo (Kraken) and Adam Anderson (Grave Digger) won the Racing, Skills and Freestyle competitions respectively on Saturday, with Anderson taking the overall event championship. On Sunday, Anderson scored the Freestyle win again, while Michael Pagliarulo (Jester) got his first-ever competition win, taking the Skills title. Todd LeDuc (Megalodon) took the Racing win and overall event championship. The series now heads to Biloxi, MS for three non-points events March 25–26.
Stadium Blue – Stadium Championship Series Blue headed north of the border for four non-points events at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) swept all four overall event championships. Cory Rummell (Megalodon) won all four Racing competitions, while Chelsea VanCleave (El Toro Loco) was the only other driver to claim victory, as she picked up her first-ever competition win in the Donut competition on Sunday afternoon. Stadium Championship Series Blue now gets a week off before its next points event in Seattle, WA on April 1.
Arena East – Weston Anderson (Grave Digger) continued to build on his championship lead during his dominant sophomore series campaign, winning four out of five overall event championships at the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH. Armando Castro (El Toro Loco) claimed the other overall event championship on Sunday evening. Arena Championship Series East now heads to the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI March 24–26.
Arena Central – It was a rough start to the weekend for points leader Brandon Vinson (Grave Digger) at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena in Huntsville, AL, but he rebounded to win the overall event championship Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Zach Garner (Wild Side) and Jon Zimmer Jr. (Terminal Velocity) took the other two overall event championships. Jamie Sullivan (Monster Mutt Dalmatian) had a breakthrough weekend, beating Vinson in the Racing final on Saturday evening, and then taking Freestyle honors on Sunday. The Series now heads to the Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY March 25–26.
Arena West – Points leader Tristan England (Earth Shaker) padded his points lead, winning three of the four overall event championships this weekend at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, NM. However, Elvis Lainez (El Toro Loco) and Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger) are keeping the pressure on England in the points battle. David Olfert (Velociraptor) took three Racing wins over the weekend, while Bailey Shea (Monster Mutt Dalmatian) picked up a Donuts win on Saturday afternoon. The series now heads to the Simmons Bank Arena in Little Rock, AR March 25–26.
