Monster Jam Weekend Recap – Week 2

Stadium Championship Series Red

The 2022 competition kicked off at the Alamodome in San Antonio with Mark List driving the popular El Toro Loco to bring home both event championships, establishing himself atop the points standings. Cole Venard (Black Pearl) opened the weekend with a Racing win. Adam Anderson (Grave Digger) won a Freestyle and a Skills competition for his weekend tally. The series moves to St. Louis for a pair of events Jan. 22-23.

Points leader Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) swept the two events at Petco Park as the series made its second stop on the 2022 season. Bari Musawwir (Zombie) won both Freestyle events, scoring over 9.6 points in each event. Charlie Pauken (Monster Mutt) added another Racing championship to his 2022 accolades. The series heads to Angel Stadium of Anaheim for a pair of events Jan. 22-23.

Arena Championship Series Central

Jon Zimmer Jr. (Terminal Velocity) extended his winning streak in Kansas City as he bookended the weekend with a pair of event championships. Zimmer, who now has four in his rookie season, shared the spotlight with Elvis Lainez (El Toro Loco) and Blake Granger (Max-D). Lainez had three Donut wins and a pair of Skills challenges. Four different drivers were winners in Racing. The series is off this weekend and will resume in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 28.

Arena Championship Series East

Weston Anderson (Grave Digger) notched his first career event championship and Coty Saucier (Dragon) recorded his third of the season in Greensboro, North Carolina. Armando Castro (El Toro Loco) swept the Skills competition as the series now moves to Hampton, VA for four shows on a busy weekend beginning Jan. 21.

Arena Championship Series West

Brandon Vinson (Grave Digger) claimed four of the five event championships in Tacoma to pad his points lead in the early stages of the season. While the competitions were dominated by Vinson and Tristan England (EarthShaker), three other drivers, Myranda Cozad (Scooby-Doo), Bernard Lyght (Megalodon) and Travis Mowery (Rockwell R.E.D.), were able to score victory in at least one competition on the weekend. The series heads to Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center for three shows beginning Jan. 21.
