Monster Jam Weekend Recap - Week 1

Stadium Championship Series Yellow
Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) and Ryan Anderson (Son-uva Digger) split the event championships in Oakland as the Stadium Championship Series Yellow embarked upon the Road to World Finals 2022. Menninga swept both Freestyle competitions and the two event winners each grabbed a Two-Wheel Skills competition. Anderson and Charlie Pauken (Monster Mutt) were winners in Racing. Menninga leads Anderson by four points as the series heads to San Diego, CA Jan. 15-16.
Arena Championship Series Central
A jam-packed weekend of four shows in Baltimore saw two competitors each win a pair of event championships to start the year in the right direction. Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger) bookended the weekend with wins on Friday and the weekend finale on Sunday. Newcomer Jon Zimmer Jr. (Terminal Velocity) swept the Saturday event championships. Anderson took home all four Freestyle competitions with a pair of Donut wins added to the weekend’s haul. Blake Granger (Max-D) was a double winner in Skills with Zack Granger (Wild Side) claiming two Racing titles. Anderson holds a 10-point series lead as the series moves to Kansas City Jan. 14-16.
Arena Championship Series East
Coty Saucier (Dragon) established himself as the one to beat on the Arena Championship Series East with a clean sweep in North Charleston, SC. Throughout the two events, Saucier scored at least a win in each competition, including a pair of victories in Donut action. Team Grave Digger’s Weston Anderson won a Skills Challenge and a Freestyle in his first weekend of competition. Brandon Derrow (Bad News Travels Fast) was a Racing winner. The series moves to Greensboro, NC for a pair of events on Jan. 15-16.
Arena Championship Series West
The traditional opening weekend appearance at Salt Lake City’s Vivint Arena kicked off the new year for the eight challengers on this tour. Brandon Vinson (Grave Digger) parlayed three event championships from the four events into the series point lead. Vinson and Friday event winner Tristan England (EarthShaker) were multiple competition winners throughout the weekend. Others with wins included Myranda Cozad (Scooby-Doo – Racing) and Bernard Lyght (Megalodon – Donut). The next stop will see the series competition in Tacoma, WA Jan. 14-16.
Stadium Championship Series Red
Eight of the series competitors took part in a three-event weekend of action in Milwaukee, a non-points competition. Adam Anderson (Grave Digger) captured two event championships, including a clean sweep of all Saturday afternoon events. Mark List (El Toro Loco) won the Saturday night event. The series begins its road to the 2022 Monster Jam World Finals this weekend in San Antonio, TX.
