Monster Jam Theme Singer Discusses Song's Creation

Authored by Monster Jam on November 15, 2022

Earlier this week we revealed the new Monster Jam Theme Song from country music singer/songwriter Sydney Mack.

Mack reflects on how the song came to be.

“It’s hard to believe that the Monster Jam Theme Song is officially out! It feels like we started talking about writing it forever ago, and I’m so excited for the world to finally hear it.

“My first introduction to Monster Jam was through the little boys that I used to nanny, Jax and Jace. They are arguably two of Monster Jam’s biggest fans, and I’m pretty sure they can name every single Monster Jam truck and driver at the drop of a hat. We spent countless hours playing ‘Monster Jam’ with all of their diecast and remote-control monster trucks, and filming ‘highlight reels’ of all of the tricks each truck would do. We got very creative with the ramps we made, and what we made the pit out of (blankets, boxes, sand—we had it all!) And you better believe that Jax made sure I knew each truck’s theme song and had them queued-up for their respective entrance into the pit.

“A few years later I met Jeff Bialosky, SVP of Global Partnerships. I happened to mention to him that if Monster Jam ever needed a theme song, I would be honored to write one—and the rest, as they say, is history! I wrote the song with one of my favorite producers/ co-writers in Nashville, Tony McVaney. It was incredibly important to us to include all elements of Monster Jam in whatever we wrote, so we spent a whole week writing, editing, and recording the demo of the song. I’m so proud of how it turned out, and am grateful to Jeff and the Felds- Kenneth and Juliette- for trusting us to capture Monster Jam in a song!”
