Monster Jam featuring the AMSOIL Series Kicks Off

Authored by Admin on January 6, 2016

The 2016 kickoff of Monster Jam® featuring the AMSOIL Series was an exciting one, with rookies hitting the track to battle for their spot to Monster Jam World Finals XVII.  The athletes competed fiercely in three different vehicles at the BOK Center in Tulsa to start accumulating points.

On Saturday afternoon, first-time Monster Jam athlete and El Toro Loco® driver, Mark List took home the top wheelie and freestyle to win the overall event championship.  While Mark ended up on top during the 2pm show, Bari Musawwir in Zombie snagged the hardware for racing and the speedster obstacle course, Brianna Mahon in Scooby-Doo had the top score of 35 for donuts, and Aaron Basl edged out the competition on ATVs.

During the Saturday evening competitions, Brianna Mahon in Scooby-DooTM landed herself the top spot in the East Coast AMSOIL Series.  Brianna had some experience in 2015 behind the wheel of Madusa at the Monster Jam World Finals XVI Young Guns Shootout, but made it clear in Tulsa that she was ready to earn the title of  “Princess of Carnage” during her winning freestyle run.  Aaron Basl in NEA has some trouble with his Monster Jam truck, ending up with a DNS for freestyle, wheelies and donuts.

If Tulsa is any indicator of what we can expect for Monster Jam featuring the AMSOIL Series, fans are going to be in for an exhilarating battle among the East Coast athletes.  Be sure to check back for the latest points standings! Get your tickets today!
