Two more series champions have punched their ticket to Orlando for the Monster Jam World Finals® XX on May 10-11.
Stadium Championship SeriesTM 1 concluded with Monster Jam’s first-ever visit to Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver, where 11-time World Champion Tom Meents (Max-DTMFire) came away with a 12-point advantage over defending World Champion Ryan Anderson (Son-uva Digger®). Meents fell back in the standings early in the season, but put on a charge in Indianapolis to move into the series lead. From there, Meents built up a double-digit margin that he brought to the season finale. In his last 11 events, Meents has finished in the top three in Freestyle competition 10 times. He won five Event Championships in that period as well. He will be making his 19th appearance at Monster Jam World Finals.
Randy Brown (Grave Digger®) will be making his fifth Monster Jam World Finals appearance, thanks to his winning efforts on the Arena Championship SeriesTM. Brown competed in 45 events with more than two dozen Event Championships on the 13-city tour, which will wrap up this weekend in Manchester, New Hampshire. Brown has had success in Orlando stadium racing, having won two Freestyles and a Racing Championship in previous appearances.
The new additions bring the field to 18. Five more competitors will be announced tomorrow, completing the field for Racing and Freestyle, except for the Showdown winner who will be added Friday May 10.
Tickets remain on sale for Monster Jam World Finals XX, which includes seven Championship competitions, the year’s biggest Pit Party and the added challenge of an elevated starting line for racing competitions.
