With a dominating performance at Ford Field in Detroit, Adam Anderson and Grave Digger® have claimed the 2016 FS1 Championship Series title. Though failing to achieve the point for fastest qualifier, Anderson was able to run through the field to race against Dustin Brown and Monster Mutt® Junkyard Dog. That gave Anderson enough points to clinch the title, but there was more. Grave Digger came out on top of Freestyle action, giving Anderson the Double Down trophy. It marked his third straight Ford Field appearance with a Double Down win.

Jim Koehler and Avenger recorded a third Donut win, giving the Michigan native a big win before his hometown fans. Tom Meents and Max-DTM claimed fast qualifying honors, but fell victim to Hooked in the first round of Racing.

The championship gives Anderson the automatic bid to the Monster Jam World Finals® XVII, putting the three-time World Champion in line to capture another title. Many of the contestants in the FS1 Championship Series are hoping to have made enough of an impression to earn a spot for the March 17-19 event at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Invitations are still being announced on the Monster Jam® social media pages.

Though this championship has been decided, the series moves on to its final stop, visiting the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
