Full Point Standings & RESULTS

With six events on the schedule at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, there was bound to be some movement in the point standings of the East Tour for the 2016 Monster Jam® featuring the AMSOIL Series. That movement included a change at the top of the leaderboard, but the race is far from over.

 

Cole Venard and Team Grave Digger® took the advantage by winning four event championships to move ahead of Bari Musawwir and Team ZombieTM. Grave Digger grabbed the lead on Saturday night with 5.5 points while Zombie could not break through. Zombie did roar back to claim the event championship on the Monday afternoon show and closed the gap to just two points.

 

The top two teams gathered the majority of points to stretch their respective distances over the rest of the competitors. The biggest move came from Jared Eichelberger and Team Max-D™®, who used the points to move up from sixth to fifth, trailing Mark List and El Toro Loco® by a half point.

 

The Sunday afternoon contest featured the first event point championship tie of the season as Max-D and Zombie were each credited with three points.  The tie was broken by the highest score in freestyle, which gave the win to Zombie.

 

The series will move to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, with four shows on the schedule. The athletes will have a clear agenda to gather as many available points while showcasing their talent for energetic fans.  All athletes remain in contention for the East Tour championship, which carries an automatic bid into the Monster Jam World Finals® XVII presented by NGK, March 17-19 in Las Vegas.
