Tyler Menninga has loved motorsports all of his life. When he had an opportunity to drive a ride truck for Adam Anderson, he took the chance and that launched a successful Monster Jam career. He started competing in Monster Jam in 2016 with Blue Thunder before joining Team Grave Digger. He began winning arena tour championships the following year and continued on to stadium racing. Menninga often makes the highlight reels at the end of the weekend and is renowned for his incredible nose wheelies and other cool tricks that he often has hidden up his sleeve! He has finished as racing runner-up in Monster Jam World Finals on two occasions, losing to Ryan Anderson in 2017 and Adam Anderson in 2018.

  • What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?
    I like to fish and work out.
  • Who are your role models?
    Definitely anyone who has helped make this sport what it is now – Dennis Anderson, Bob Chandler, Charlie Pauken and Gary Porter.
  • Do you have any ‘pre-show’ rituals you run through?
    I like to gather myself and get zoned in.
  • What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you?
    I really like to travel!
  • What is your favorite memory on or off the racetrack?
    It has to be competing in my first show because it was and is still so special to me.
  • What is your most prized possession?
    I don’t really have any.



  • What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
    The best would have to be getting to experience the Monster Jam ride with people I’ve become friends with. The worst is dealing with airports!
  • While on the road, what’s your favorite thing to do during your free time?
    I like to go out and find the best food possible in every city!
  • How do you keep fit?
    I work out seven days a week and do weight training.
  • What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
  • What is your favorite city to travel to? Why?
    So far it’s been San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was so beautiful there.



  • How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
    Adam Anderson! He let me come to North Carolina one summer and drive his ride truck. After that, we stayed friends and one thing led to another and with the help of him and my family, here I am!
  • What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
    Getting to drive the trucks. I’ve loved motorsports my entire life and have always had a passion for Monster Jam trucks.
  • How would you describe your driving style?
    I try and mix my driving style between a couple of other drivers’. I really like the way Ryan Anderson, Adam Anderson and Coty Saucier drive, so I pretty much try to match that.
  • What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
    Work hard and dreams really do come true!
  • What is your greatest memory as a Monster Jam driver?
    Getting to run down the track in Las Vegas at Monster Jam World Finals in 2016.

    Dennis Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Adam Anderson, Coty Saucier and Gary Porter.
