What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?
Haley Gauley: Food is pretty much my only interest and hobby! But I also love to travel, do anything outdoors, snowboard, wakeboard and surfing, motorcycle and anything else with a motor, music, my dog and my family. My favorite pastime is when I get the chance to play guitar and sing on stage with the classic rock bands, America, On the Encore and Horse with No Name at each concert I attend.
Who are your role models?
Haley Gauley: My biggest role model is my close friend Mary Anderson. She was a woman of strong faith who unfortunately passed away due to a broken heart – it’s a real thing. She smiled through her pain and until her last breath. She was my biggest fan and always pushed me to reach my goals and dreams. She was one of the strongest women I know. Alecia Moore, aka “Pink” is another role model of mine. She had her struggles and obstacles to overcome through life, but came out on top as a strong woman, artist, mother and wife.
Do you have any ‘pre-show’ rituals you run through?
Haley Gauley: I broke my face in three places playing flag football, of all things, in 2002. I had to have a metal plate put in my cheek bone. We won the championship though!
What is your favorite memory on or off the racetrack?
Haley Gauley: My favorite memory is the first show I competed in. The fans are unbelievable and competing against some of the greatest drivers in the sport is something I will never forget.
What is your most prized possession?
Haley Gauley: My dog and my 1971 Martin D35 guitar.
Life on the Road with Monster Jam
What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
Haley Gauley: Best thing is getting to see a new city and meet new people every week. I love to travel, so it’s perfect. The worst is just time away from my family and my dog. She goes everywhere with me so it’s hard to be away from her.
While on the road, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
Haley Gauley: I like to do touristy things with my crew.
How do you stay fit?
Haley Gauley: I used to compete in bodybuilding figure competitions. I continue to lift five days a week and do cardio 6 days a week. I am also an in-home massage therapist and specialize in deep tissue/sports massage. That’s a workout in itself!
What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
Haley Gauley: My phone, headphones and my fanny pack (for my tourist days!).
What is your favorite city to travel to? Why?
Haley Gauley: Anaheim because California is like a second home for me. I have a lot of friends that live there and have always loved the West Coast.
How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
Haley Gauley: I was asked to sign the national anthem at a few shows. I sang and played the guitar. Linsey Read was the only female driver on that tour at the time and dominated all the guys in the wheelie competition. I asked how I could become an amazing driver like her. The rest is history.
What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
Haley Gauley: My favorite part is competing against these amazing veteran drivers. They push me to be better even if they don’t realize it.
How would you describe your driving style?
Haley Gauley: My style is crazy and entertaining… I’m a woman, right?!
What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
Haley Gauley: Always, always finish school but never take your eyes off of your dreams and goals. Dreams do come true.
Who in Monster Jam do you look up to for inspiration?
Haley Gauley: The two biggest legends, Dennis Anderson and Tom Meents. They made Monster Jam and brought it to where it is today. They’ve been through it all, the good and the bad. They still love doing what they’re doing and continue to inspire all of the drivers to be their best.
Do you have any nicknames?
Haley Gauley: Growing up, my dad called be Haleybob… I was a tomboy.

Haley Gauley: Wonder Woman, Step Brothers, Tommy Boy and Dumb and Dumber

Haley Gauley: The Voice, Stranger Things and Gold Rush

Haley Gauley: Red and black
What’s your favorite thing to eat?
Haley Gauley: Everything! Pizza, Mexican, sushi and desserts to name a few
How would your friends and family describe you?
Haley Gauley: Very upfront and straight forward, faithful, honest, crazy, fun, but blessed with the biggest heart on the planet and will do anything for anyone in need.
