Life on the Road with Monster Jam
What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
Justin Sipes: Getting to see all the cities and meet all of the fans at each event. I haven’t found much that is bad about it to be honest.
While on the road, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
Justin Sipes: I like to hang out with all of the competitors. They are all awesome people and we are like one big happy family.
How do you keep fit?
Justin Sipes: Almost all of the hotels we stay in have gyms so we get in workouts when we have time between events and traveling. And when I am home I do most of my workouts at my house in the gym I had set up during my motocross career.
What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
Justin Sipes: I don’t know of anything I ‘can’t’ live without. But it would make it really tough if I didn’t have my snacks while driving. I have to have beef jerky or some trail mix with me at all times.
What is your favorite city to travel to? Why?
Justin Sipes: My favorite city to travel to will be Las Vegas in 2017. That means I made it to the Monster Jam World Finals and that is my goal for this season.
How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
Justin Sipes: I have been involved in motorsports my entire life. I grew up racing dirt bikes but battled multiple injuries during my professional career. So when I got the opportunity to compete in Monster Jam, I jumped all over it! It’s kind of a dream come true for me. I’ve always been a competitor at heart and just love how much the fans get in to it. I can’t wait to get out there and show them what I can do this year.
What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
Justin Sipes: The fans for sure, getting to meet all of them at the Pit Parties and being able to talk to the people that are on their feet cheering for me at all of the events. I love it.

Justin Sipes: I am aggressive but also very controlled. I have a game plan every time I get in to drive.
What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
