Tristan England has won his second Monster Jam World Finals Championship. He did it Friday night at the Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City by winning the Utah Sports Commission 2 Wheel Skills World Championship.
Many of the drivers struggled throughout the night with the challenging conditions following a rain storm prior to the event. While all eight competitors found a way to get a move going – most of which were nose wheelies – many of them struggled to turn their moves into a combo.
England’s first round score of a 7.864 in JCB DIGatron – with a special 80th anniversary paint – was enough to secure him the victory, with a move in which he was able to moonwalk over a pod with several stoppies along the way.
It was an emotional win for England, who is one of the sport’s top Skills competitors. He acknowledged the fact that this was a Championship that he really wanted to win and now he finally has the trophy.
