While most of the other invitees to next week's Monster Jam NGK Spark Plugs World Finals are taking this weekend to make final preparations for their participation in the sport's biggest event, Pablo Huffaker decided the best way for him to get ready to go for the World Championships was to stay sharp by competing. He did just that Friday night, driving Grave Digger to a sweep of all four competitions in the Thunder Nationals style event Friday night at the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls, TX.

Huffaker, who will drive the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in Las Vegas next weekend opened the night by winning the wheelie contest in Grave Digger. Then in racing Pablo mowed through the racing bracket and beat impressive newcomer Devin Jones and Barbarian in the night's Championship Race.

Next it was on to the donut contest, and while several competitors gave Grave Digger a battle Huffaker's spinning Digger donuts had the crowd cheering and the judges giving Grave Digger the narrow victory. Capping the night off Hufffaker had by far the biggest air and an amazing slap wheelie in the tight confines to take the final victory of the night in the freestyle competition.

Joe Sylvester in Bad Habit and Aaron Basl, driving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle tied for the donut contest win Saturday afternoon, but every other win went to Pablo Huffaker and Grave Digger in the 2nd perfromance of a three event weekend at the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls, TX.

Once again Huffaker opened the competition by hitting a huge sky wheelie to win the first contest of the day, and then once again Grave Digger dominated the racing bracket on the Chicago style oval track, Huffaker beating his teammate Basl in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle truck that Pablo will drive in next weekend's NGK Spark Plugs World Finals in Las Vegas to claim the racing triumph in the matinee event.

Next up was the donut competition where the competition clearly decided they'd had enough of Digger's domination, Bad Habit and the Turtle turning in almost equally impressive high speed donuts to tie for the win. In freestyle though it was all Huffaker, who again nailed an awesome slap wheelie to compliment the biggest air of the afternoon and Grave Digger took home another freestyle victory.

. - Newcomer Devin Jones in Barbarian won the wheelie contest in a tie-breaker over Grave Digger to start the action Saturday night, but from then on it was all Digger as Pablo Huffaker heads to Las Vegas for the Monster Jam NGK Spark Plugs World Finals off a weekend of domination in Wichita Falls, TX.

In the first competition of the weekend finale Saturday night both Barbarian and Grave Digger hit huge sky wheelies and were each scored a 24 from the three judge panel, but the tie-breaker judge gave the nod to Barbarian for the way Jones walked his Ford Super Duty across the cars on the back wheels after his intitial contact with the car lane.

Racing, as it had been all weekend in the Kay Yeager Coliseum was all Grave Digger, this time Huffaker's opponent in the Championship Race was Joe Sylvester in Bad Habit. Sylvester actually pushed the Digger harder than Pablo had been tested in any race the entire weekend in Texas, but Huffaker still had enough to pull out a one truck length victory.

One of the most exciting battles of the weekend occurred in the donut contest where Charles Beens in Pit Bull's donuts with the steering wheel being pulled off and shown to the crowd out the window during the revolutions was matched by Aaron Basl's high speed cyclones in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, both trucks sharing the lead until Huffaker came onto the track. The Grave Digger driver admitted that after watching Beens and Basl he knew he had to come up with his best set of donuts of the entire weekend to win, and Pablo did just that, a dizzying, lengthy set of Digger Donuts giving Huffaker yet another win.

To top the weekend off in front of the near capacity crowd Huffaker found a way to get big air off of obstacles beaten down from the intense competition throughout the night and Grave Digger won the freestyle competition in convincing fashion.
