Saturday 7:30
A near sell out crowd witness the debut of Backwards Bob and they were amazed at what the truck looked like when it performed and so was I. Not only did the great fans of Denver get that treat but they also got to see the best truck line up ever assembled in an arena. Now I have often said that there are six of the best Monster trucks in the world at an event but when you have a combined experience of 103 years behind six of these drivers it is truly amazing.
The wheelie contest was first event of the night and Blue thunder set the tone with a high score of 24 and the win. Grave Digger followed with a 23 and Donkey Kong was impressive with a 22. El Toro was next with a 20 as Backwards Bob scored a 18 and Monster Mutt was last with a 14.
Racing was close all night and Blu Thunder again showed the hores power of hif big Ford truck and raced to the finals with a win over Grave Digger. Blue Thunder made it there with wins over Backwards Bob in round one and Donkey Kong in the semi finals which was a close race. GrAVE Digger mad it to the finals by beating El Toro in a photo finish and Fast Losser Monster Mutt in the semi finals. Donkey Kong did have a win in round one by defeating Monster Mutt.
Freestyle was wicked as each truck step it up and wowed the crowd and the judges. Back Wards Bob started us off with some good hits and a score of 20. Monster Mutt feel short by one point scoring a 19 and Blue Thunder took the lead with a 22. Tony Ferrel fell short of the double down as Donkey Kong tore it up with an awesome display and the lead with a 26. El Toro a former World Finals champion took to the floor to beat Donkey Kong by one point with the same sick air as Kremel displayed. That would hold up as Digger blew the rear end out of the truck on his second hit and that was it with only a 21. Digger did have the biggest air off of the raised van stack and got a standing O for his efforts.

Sunday 2:00
Another  near  record crowd jammed into the Pepsi center for some more Monster Jam action. The action started with the Advance Auto Parts Wheelie competition and Grave Digger powered his truck to an awesome wheelie and the win with a score of 28. All of the wheelies today surpassed last nights due to the fact that the back side of the cars were very solid and steep giving each truck the kick they needed to power awesome wheelies. El Toro Loco was next with a 22, Donkey Kong scored a 20, Blue Thunder had a 17 followed up by Backwards Bob with a 16 and Monster Mutt with a 14.
Racing was the closest I have seen a in a long time. Each race and I mean each race was decided by not one instant replay but two or three. Blue Thunder again had the Ford horse power behind him and defeated Donkey Kong in the finals. Blue Thunder made it to the finals with wins over El Toro Loco and Grave Digger in the semi finals. Donkey Kong made it there as fast looser after getting beat in round one by Grave Digger then coming back to beat Backwards Bob in the semi finals. In other action Backwards Bob beat Monster Mutt in his first round battle.
The UTI Freestyle competition was wild with some sick air and some great saves. Backwards Bob went out first and tore it up with some good sky wheelies and a score of 15. Monster Mutt fell short with a 14 and Blue Thunder could only tie Bob because the truck broke half way into the freestyle. El Tor was next and took the lead trying to repeat from the night before with a 21. That although was not enough as Donkey Kong took the lead with some awesome air and a score of 23. There was still some room for a Digger win and the truck was running perfect from the bad luck the night before and won the event with a 27. Charlie Paulkin is truly a spectacular driver with some big air lots of speed and some great saves the crowd loved every minute of it.
Today was awesome for me to spend it with the great fans of Denver and look forward to coming back soon. See you in Cleveland next week for some more Monster Jam action as we get closer to the road to Las Vegas.
