Saturday afternoon performance is in the books here in Hartford, CT. and it was one upset after another. I have to be honest the superstars of Monster Jam gave 100% for an almost capacity crowd. One thing was missing and it made things difficult for our drivers. That was dryer dirt….. Things have been pretty moist here in the Hartford area and the dirt was well let’s just say mud! So there was no traction as the dirt would give way to the concrete arena floor. Then add the rutts that the quads made during the quad wars made for a long afternoon.

Wheelie Results:

Back Draft 14
El Toro Loco 13
Eradicator 15
Pure Adrenaline 20
Thrasher 13
Grave Digger 11

I will say this, the rookie 18 year old sensation Jeremy Slifko from Pottsville, PA and Back Draft continued to impress! I have known this young man for several years and I am glad to see him now behind the wheel of one of his dad’s trucks in Monster Jam competition. I look forward to the day when he gets to look across the Advance Auto Parts start line at his father Andy and Eradicator. So with the first upset in the books the question was would there be anymore this afternoon. I don’t know if I would call it an upset but the racing semis brought us a couple scenarios. One would be the match-up I am looking forward to Father vs. Son Back Draft vs. Eradicator. The other was former crew man vs. former boss. Chris Baker and El Toro Loco vs. Randy Brown and Grave Digger. The match-up we got was El Toro vs. Digger as the Slifko’s were knocked out in the semis. Two fan favorites in the finals but this time it was El Toro’s turn to be in the spot light.

The dirt was once again the main thing to contend with in the freestyle competition. The judges were another with the highest score in freestyle only being a 20. The upsets continued though as Carl Van Horn Pure Adrenaline would once again post the highest marking.

Freestyle Results:

Back Draft 15
Pure Adrenaline 20
Thrasher 12
Eradicator 14
El Toro Loco 14
Grave Digger 18

Saturday Night 7:30PM

Saturday night is in the books and what a night it was! The superstars of Monster Jam left no fan disappointed. Like the afternoon performance the arena floor was a lil wet witch made the wheelie contest tough once again. It still brought us yet another upset. As the crowd watched as Grave Digger missed yet another opportunity to secure his first win of the weekend. Instead El Toro Loco would post the high score and take down the wheelie contest.

Wheelie Results:

Back Draft 12
El Toro Loco 19
Eradicator 10
Pure Adrenaline 13
Thrasher 15
Grave Digger 12

A lot of the same played out in the NGK Spark Plugs Racing. Except for the semi finals and the outcome everything else was the same. We will have to wait another day for the Father Son match up. We did see a rematch of El Toro Loco and Grave Digger in the finals but this time the black and green wrecking machine would come out victorious over his former employee.

In the UTI Freestyle the FMX Landing ramp was in play and the drivers took full advantage of it. Five out of six trucks improved on their score from this afternoon. The winner also would be different from the earlier performance. The young gun Jeremy Slifko and Back Draft continued to improve as he never let of the throttle once. Keep in up Jeremy. When we began the night the question was would Grave Digger win. Now the question is will he be stopped? He took down the competition and left no doubt in the judge’s mind. He hit the FMX landing ramp both directions to the crowd’s approval.

Back Draft 18
Pure Adrenaline 20
