Friday 7:30 p.m. - John Seasock won an arena "Double Down" for the first time ever, powering Batman to both the racing and freestyle victories Friday night to open a four event weekend at Rexall Place in Edmonton.

After Rod Schmidt won the night's opening contest, driving his Grave Digger to the wheelie contest triumph, racing opened with Seasock actually losing his first round race to Alex Blackwell in Captain's Curse. Despite the loss Batman advanced as the fastest first round loser and took advantage of the reprieve, eliminating Grave Digger in the semifinals and then gaining revenge on Captain's Curse when Seasock edged Blackwell in the night's Championship Race.

In freestyle Seasock's rocking performance, which included massive air over the biggest obstacle in the center of the arena, put Batman on top early in the competition. Candice Jolly's exciting run in the Monster Mutt Dalmatian was judged one point short of Seasock's total by the three Canadian fans serving as judges. Then the judges scored Schmidt's performance in Grave Digger exactly the same as Batman's, the tie-breaking Monster Jam judge then giving the nod to Batman for the Double Down win.

Saturday 2:00 p.m. - Thrashing all the way up to the last possible moment the Grave Digger crew got Rod Schmidt on the track and the truck strong enough for Schmidt to use a barrage of huge leaps to grab the freestyle victory after John Seasock drove Batman to a second straight racing event victory Saturday afternoon at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta.

Alex Blackwell grabbed his first triumph of the weekend in Canada by taking the top place in the wheelie contest driving Captain's Curse. Next up was the race  bracket, where the two time defending World Racing Champion dominated, and for the second straight Edmonton event Seasock topped Blackwell in the Championship race as Batman claimed another racing victory.

Grave Digger had bowed out of the race bracket after round one with mechanical troubles and the crew spent the rest of the afternoon making sure that Schmidt would be able to freestyle and to the delight of the thousands of Digger fans in the arena Schmidt roared onto the track when the light turned green, continuously attacking the huge freestyle jump in the center of the floor and closed his run with a phenomenal save to claim the event win, praising his crew for making it all possible with their hard work, Schmidt grabbing the win to deny Seasock another Double Down, as Batman ended up tied for second with Candice Jolly and the Monster Mutt Dalmatian in the matinee freestyle.

Saturday 7:30 p.m. - After the Grave Digger crew fixed Rod Schmidt's ride well enough to win freestyle in the Saturday afternoon matinee the team spent the hours between the two Saturday events getting the black and green wrecking machine back to 100% and Schmidt took advantage, edging Candice Jolly and Monster Mutt Dalmatian in both racing and freestyle to take the arena version of the Double Down at Edmonton's Rexall Place.

Before Digger stole the show it was Alex Blackwell who got the home of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers rocking in the wheelie contest. Blackwell shot Captain's Curse into the air with the best sky wheelie of the weekend, but landed awkwardly and the 1941 style Willys ended up on its roof with the huge crowd standing and cheering. Suffering only minor body damage in the incident Blackwell walked away as the wheelie contest winner.

After Blackwell's spectacular moment the night turned into a duel between Grave Digger and Monster Mutt Dalmatian. First, Schmidt powered his Digger to a narrow win over Jolly in the Championship Race. Then in freestyle Jolly's best performance of the weekend had her in first place despite a brilliant freestyle turned in by Captain's Curse when Schmidt rolled onto the track and thrilled his huge fan base in the Alberta city with another ragged edge run that was highlighted by huge air and an incredible save to wrap up the run. The fans serving as judges saw it as a tie between the two, so the extra tie-breaking judge gave the nod to Grave Digger to complete Schmidt's big night.

Sunday - Rod Schmidt in Grave Digger and Candice Jolly in Monster Mutt Dalmatian grabbed the victories on the final day of a great four event weekend at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Jolly had been strong and consistent all weekend, but had not grabbed an event win until Sunday afternoon when she nailed her best sky wheelie of the weekend and the Canadian fans serving as judges scored her with the popular wheelie contest triumph.

In racing Jolly made it to the Championship Race for the second straight event but again fell short in the final, with Schmidt driving Grave Digger to the victory over Monster Mutt Dalmatian.

Wrapping up the weekend with an outstanding start to finish freestyle John Seasock opened the competition in Batman with some amazing air to set the bar high, then the fans delighted to a high intensity run from Scott Anderson in Arachnaphobia before Jolly hit the dirt in the Monster Mutt Dalmatian. Candice's run had the crowd cheering throughout and the fans really exploded when Jolly ended her performance by launching into donuts, but on the tacky surface the truck rolled over, the Mutt ending the weekend on its lid. Despite another amazing freestyle from Alex Blackwell in Captain's Curse that for the second straight time seemed to be underscored by the judges, Batman and the Monster Mutt Dalmatian were tied for the lead when Grave Digger returned to the Rexall floor. Again Schmidt's truck was running at peak performance and Rod brought his "A" game, thrilling the fans with a ragged edge Digger freestyle to grab an arena "Double Down" for the second straight event.
