The 10th annual Monster Jam NGK Spark Plugs World Finals wrapped up a Decade of Champions with the tradition of the past 10 merging with the future as Maximum Destruction driver Tom Meents extended his title record by making the World Racing Championship his 8th title, then one of the sport's newest superstars, Damon Bradshaw tasted the ultimate glory for the first time with an amazing performance to win the World Freestyle Championship in the Air Force Afterburner.

While Meents taking the racing trophy was no surprise his win capped a race bracket that was full of shockers. The unpredictable night started in round one where a pair of two time champs lost in the opening segment, first Bradshaw stunning Dennis Anderson in Grave Digger, then John Seasock's two year championship reign came to a sudden end when Lupe Soza in El Toro Loco knocked off Seasock's Batman. Former World Champion Madusa provided more upsets with a pair of wins that included her victory over fast qualifier Frank Krmel in Donkey Kong.

After so many early round surprises the bracket settled down and delivered a final four that included trucks that would shock no one that they were in the semifinals; Maximum Destruction, Safe Auto Minimizer, Captain's Curse, and Blue Thunder. Meents eliminated Marc McDonald in Safe Auto Minimizer to advance out of the top half of the bracket and Alex Blackwell earned his first berth in a World Championship Race by piloting Captain's Curse to victory over Linsey Weenk and Blue Thunder.

The Championship Race saw Meents take command on Thunder Alley and as Blackwell tried to come from behind his race ended with a wild Captain's Curse rollover in the turn as Maximum Destruction sailed across the finish line for Meents' eighth world title.

On to the battle for the freestyle crown where Chris Bergeron came out first and set the bar high with his performance in Brutus that scored a 29 from the judges, a lead that he would hold until Bounty Hunter hit the track as the eighth truck to perform. 2005 champ Jimmy Creten was on his game with a brilliant run that ended with a high speed flip of the truck that he somehow powered back on to the Ford's wheels and Creten had the lead with a score of 36. In between those two runs the sold out crowd was electric when extreme sports legend Travis Pastrana changed his truck to Nitro Circus and freestyled it himself and wowed the fans with a freestyle that was rewarded with the night's fifth best score.

Bradshaw was 14th in the appearance order but ended the night number one with a blistering high energy run full of the night's biggest air and despite some great moments from the big names who followed him Air Force Afterburner was a no doubt winner as the former Supercross legend claimed his first World Championship.

Ending the night in style with another unique encore this time it was Meents who came back on to the track and nailed a complete back flip in Max-D.
