With three competitions in store for the trucks everyone came out swinging in the first with the wheelie competition. All would come out getting there first feel of the track and Scott Porier would stand Anger Management up on his tailgate to a crowd approval and a victory.

Coming into Racing Mike Vaters and the Black Stallion had a substantial win streak here in Baltimore for the last several years. So the pressure was on to continue the sweep for the home town man. In round one Derrick Evans and the Ninja Turtle passed Trey Meyers and the Iron Warrior to advance. The second race saw Rick Raab and the American Guardian advance past Andy Slifko and Eradicator. The third race saw the hometown truck Black Stallion move one step closer to continuing his streak as he overtook the Wheelie winner Scott Porier and Anger Management. The final race of round one witnessed Randy Brown and Grave digger take care of Lou Antonozzi and the Broker. The Semi final round would see American Guardian defeat Turtle to advance to the finals where he would meet the Black Stallion who edged out Grave Digger in what would have a been a finals in most meetings. In what was the closest race of the night, the finals watched as Mike Vaters continued his win streak in his home state. Congratulations Mike lets see if you can sweep ‘em like last year.
The Monster Freestyle would present the last opportunity for Grave Digger to leave the Friday night show with a win and disappoint he did not. Randy Brown drove the black and green wrecking machine to a perfect 30!

The cold air outside wasn’t enough to keep things from heating up inside the 1 st Mariner Arena. When the trucks of Monster Jam fired up at 2pm on Saturday afternoon the air inside never cooled down.
In the wheelie contest it was pretty much an even contest for all but one. The one stand out was Pottsville, PA native Andy Slifko and Eradicator. Andy stood the truck straight up and down to what I thought was a perfect wheelie but our judges could only muster 27 points.
Wheelie Results:
Iron Warrior 19
The Broker 22
Eradicator 27
Turtle 16
American Guardian 22
Black Stallion 21
Anger Management 24
Grave Digger 25
Can the winning streak continue for Mike Vaters and Black Stallion? That was the question heading into racing on Saturday afternoon. Well we would have to take it round by round. Round one saw Grave Digger, Turtle, American Guardian and Black Stallion all advance. The Semi final round would send us a re-match from last night’s finals. Black Stallion and American Guardian would meet once again. So the stage was set for Black Stallion to continue his winning streak. In the closest race of the weekend, Black Stallion barely edged out American Guardian once again. Will the Baltimore win streak continue for Mike and Black Stallion? Check back tonight to see if he has done it!
The Monster Truck Freestyle would once again see Grave Digger hit every obstacle on the arena floor with absolute precision to a perfect 30!

Let me start off by saying WOW! I thought the first two shows were unbeatable until I saw what the trucks had in store for the Saturday night performance. In the wheelie contest we had another first time winner for the weekend. The home town man Mike Vaters and Black Stallion would become the third different winner of the weekend after the crowd broke the 24 point tie with the Broker.
Wheelie Results:
Iron Warrior 18
The Broker 24
Eradicator 23
Turtle 19
American Guardian 23
Black Stallion 24
Anger Management 23
Grave Digger 21
If you have been keeping up with my recaps then you are well aware of the streak of race victories the Black Stallion is on. In round one we watched as Turtle, Eradicator, Grave Digger and Black Stallion moved on to the semi final round. The semi final round saw Eradicator beat Turtle and we all witnessed the end of the streak as Grave Digger would be the first truck to beat Black Stallion in over 3 years in this arena. The finals were set Eradicator and Grave Digger. It would be Diggers night to be crowned as the racing champ in Baltimore. I look for Black Stallion to start a whole new streak tomorrow!
Monster truck freestyle would be a whole new ballgame as the drivers were pumped because of the capacity crowd and the electricity the projected. Get loud they did when Iron Warrior set the pace with his best run of the weekend 20 points. The trucks behind him knew the bar was set. But after the streak ended in racing for Black Stallion he figured the next best thing was winning two out of three competitions. That is just what he did. I announced it wrong in the arena as I thought there was a tie with 27 between Broker and Digger and the crowd cheered Digger to victory. I WAS WRONG Black Stallion had a 28 after a stellar run and 28 points would give him his second win of the night.
Freestyle Results:
Iron Warrior 20
The Broker 27
Eradicator 23
Anger Management 23
Turtle 23
Black Stallion 28
American Guardian 26
Grave Digger 27
I will recap the awesome FMX competition tomorrow afternoon.

Sunday afternoon it was all the line! With no more shows this weekend here everything left on the track was fair game. The truck and crews knew they would have all week to fix whatever broke so run hard is what they did!
The wheelie competition would see its first return winner as Mike Vaters and the Black Stallion topped the competition with 26 points.
Wheelie Results:
The Broker 14
Eradicator 13
Turtle 16
American Guardian 22
Black Stallion 26
Anger Management 19
Grave Digger 20
With the streak over for Black Stallion the question would be if another would start today. The first round of racing saw Turtle, Black Stallion, American Guardian and Grave Digger advance. In the second round Grave Digger took out American Guardian and in a stunning upset Turtle beat Black Stallion. So the finals would see two friends and traveling partners meet in the finals of racing. Grave Digger would prove to be too much for the rookie Derrick Evans and Turtle.
Freestyle Results:
The Broker 15
Eradicator 17
Turtle 20
Black Stallion 25
American Guardian 27
Grave Digger 30
