Friday:8:00-pm

      Thunder nationals was in the house at Richmond collisium as screaming fans cheered on their favorite monster truck. We started off the show with the wheelie compitition as Rap Attack started first with a nice wheelie that scored him a 17. Bad news followed with a 14 and Stone Crusher with a 16. The scores were tight and Rap Attack was still in the lead but not for long as Turtle took the leed with a19. This also wouldn't last long as the three time Thunder Nationals champion Virginia Giant wheelied his way into the lead with a 22. Grave Digger was next and the crowd cheered as he enter the floor. Grave Digger mashed the gas and out wheelied every one with an awesome wheelie giving him his first win with a 26.

      Raceing was next and the compitition was close as all six trucks were fighting for a win. Rap Attack advanced to the semi finals by beating Turtle in the first round. Bad News also davanced by defeating Virginia Giant. Grave Digger and Stone Crusher were the last race in the first round and Digger was in top form as he easily beat Stone Crusher for the win. In the Semi finals Grave Digger beat Bad News to advance and Virginia Giant came back as fast looser to beat Rap Attack. Grave Digger in the finals was unstoppable as he took out Giant by three feet for his second win of the night.

      Doughnuts were fast and Furious as each truckwas battleing to take out Grave Digger. Rap Attack satrted out with a 13 but was easily beat when turtle spun a 24 as the crowd was going wild. Bad News would do one better scoring a 25 for the lead until Grave Digger spun a faster doughnut giving him a 26 for the lead. Virginia Giant was last and the crowd was in awe as Diehl Wilson powered his truck to the win with a 28.

      Freestyle was next and Rap Attack came out with a 15 as Bad News and Turtle would follow with an 18 for the lead. Stone Crusher was next and came out flying as he freestyled into the lead with a 24. Virginia Giant was looking to follow his win in the doughnut contest but fell short by scoring a 21. Grave Digger again showed his stuff by wowing the crowd with huge air and alot of speed as he took the win with a perfect 30.  



Saturday-8:00pm

      A sell out crowd was on there feet as each monster truck was introduced. After the national anthem the crowd counted the trucks down to fire them up and right into the wheelie compitition we went. Grave Digger again stole the show as he won another whellie contest by scoring a near perfect score of a 29. Stone Crusher and Turtle tied for second with scores of 23 as Bad News took third with a 22. Rap Attack scored a 16 to start us out and Virginia Giant finished with a 13.

      Racing was next and Grave Digger was the one to beat. Rap Attack would again make it into the semi finals by beating Bad News in the first round. Stone Crusher would also advance by defeating Virginia giant in a close race. Grave Digger had it easy as he again beat his opponent off the line and beat Turtle by a foot or two. Virginia Giant came back as fast looser had had one more chance to make it into the finals. He took on Rap Attack in the semi finals and won his race by inches to advance for a second straight time. Grave Digger would also make it to the finals by beating Stone Crusher. The finals again had the making for a great race as the two champions were gunning for the win. At the finish line it took a few seconds as the track officials viewed the replay and Grave Digger was victorious by an inch.

      The Doughnut compitition saw some fierce action as Stone Crusher took the lead away from Bad news with a 20. This did'nt last long as Turtle would top it with a 26 but it also did not stand up as Grave Digger and Virginia Giant tied with a 28 giving us a crowd cheer off. Virginia Giant had the loudist cheers and took the win away from crowd favorite Grave Digger. This gave Virginia Giant his second win of the weekend.

      Grave Digger wanted redemption for the loss in the doughnut contest and had to do it by winning another crowd cheer off as him and Turttle tied with scores of 26. Digger this time had the crowd behind him and took his second freestyle win for the weekend. Virginia Giant was a close third with a 25 and Stone crusher followed with a 21. Rap Attack was able to get fixed as he missed the doughnut contest but was at full power and only scored a 16. Bad News also had some problems as he scored a 14 to round out the field.

 

Sunday-2:00pm

      Fans of all ages filled the Richmond colisium for the final Thunder Nationals of the weekend. The format for the event was changed a bit as we started with the wheelie contest then the doughnut compition followed by freestyle and racing was last.

      The wheelie contest featured three trucks that have proved to be the best at it this weekend. Stone Crusher was first and wheelied a good 18. Turtle followed as the scoring was tight but fell short with an 18. Rap Attack was last and the crowd went crazy as he would take his first win of the weekend scoring a near perfect 29.

      The next contest was doughnuts and again three featured trucks would battle it out on the floor. Bad news was first and spun a perfect doughnut right in the middle of the floor while holding the steering wheel out the window scoring him a 24. Grave Digger was next and the high speed black and green wrecking machine took the lead with a 27. The doughnut king was last and Virginia Giant spun his way to a 27 for a first place tie with Digger. The crowd was ask to cheer for the winner and Grave Digger finally won a doughnut compitition this weekend.

      Freestyle was next and more exciting than the last two nights. The cars were in better shape and allowed for more high flying action as the scores would reflect this. Grave Digger at the end would win the freestyle contest for a third time sweeping the weekend with a score of 30. Giant was second with a good run giving him a 24. Stone Crusher was third with a 22 which could have been higher but he failed to finish the sixty seconds because of an exciting roll over. Turtle and Rap attack would follow with scores of 21 and Bad News rounded out the contest with a 18.

      Racing seen a new winner as Virginia Giant finally knocked off Grave Digger with a close race. Grave Digger made it to the finals by defeating Bad News in round one and fast looser Turtle in the semi finals. Giant made it to the finals by beating Turtle in round one and Rap Attack in semi finals. Rap Attack advanced to the semi Finals with a buy run when Stoner crusher was unable to get his truck fixxed from the roll over that occured in freestyle.
