Six monsters including the World Champion Team Meents invaded the Alerus Center in Grand Forks North Dakota Friday night. Action was non-stop in the first half but the early action took its toll on the big trucks in the second half racing.

This event also featured the Cannon Lady and some great action from the Micro-Mini Motocross riders iwth the feature won by 8 year old Shane Rode.

Saturday Night
Great racing and wild action was the setting for the second night of the Thunder Nationals in Grand Forks North Dakota. In quad wars action the night was as wild as the monsters with Team South Dakota winning the race final by blocking the other team at the start. Race director Tommy Mason called the race fair but added that it was going to be a blurry win in the record books at best. A captains challenge was called for and the winner was Team North Dakota with a 5 legnth lead.

This made a clean sweep for Eldon Depew and Team Meents in the racing action for the weekend. Eldon told the crowd in a post race interview that the team was ready for action and a third world championship next weekend in Las Vegas.

Micro Mini racing for the little PeeWee Motocross saw Brady Rhode win the main. Rhode is 8 yrs old and has been riding for 4 years. He took the lead when his brother Shane lost control and wiped out in the second lap of the event.
